Chapter 123 Conversation

"What's the meaning?"

"That night, she met with employees from the Sheng Group, but she also met with Sheng Da. And out of pride, she left her earrings in his car. That night, she must have asked Sheng Da something about the company, and he hit her in the stomach. They didn't end up together. This made Ah Mei very sad, so she went to the abandoned factory and jumped down the slanted stairs."

"What evidence do you have?"

Ouyang took out the earrings and said, "There was a bug hidden in it. She could have used it to get some kind of recording from Shengda, but she took it off and turned it off."

"Why did you commit suicide?"

"She was threatened," she said, "and the threat came from Ji Ou."

"Ji Ou?" Dong Ya didn't understand what this had to do with him.

"When Ji Ou heard Ah Mei's name, his blinking speed quickened. They knew each other. Moreover, Ah Mei hid the computer under the ruins of the factory, which meant that she knew she would die if she took out the information."

Dongya accepted her analysis and quickly sent a report to the police, hoping that they would close the case as soon as possible.

As for Ouyang, she has set her sights on Ji Ou, the ambitious man.

HDA's membership continued to grow, but Dongya's new rules were difficult to enforce. Even if they were implemented, only those in the Night Organization would enforce them; the rest of the group would still follow the rules of their own organizations. This was his biggest headache.

Every time Ouyang encountered a problem, she would go back to the courtyard, sit in the yard, look at the flowers and plants that were gradually showing some autumnal features, and eat the biscuits made by Aunt Lin, and her heart would feel much better.

Zhuo Qiang came back and saw Ouyang sitting on the swing. He asked, "Why aren't you going to Sheng Group?"

"I've had enough fun," she always liked to refer to investigation as "playing," "I won't go anymore."

Zhuo Qiang looked at her and saw that she seemed to be worried, so he didn't ask any further questions. He asked Aunt Lin to prepare some tea and he also wanted to rest in the yard.

The two people looked at the clouds in the sky, and the clouds in the sky looked at them, sending them autumn breeze from time to time, and the coolness made them unable to fall asleep.

Aunt Lin in the kitchen looked at them through the window and thought, how great it would be if Ouyang was really Zhuo Qiang's child.

Slowly, night fell, and the quiet yard was filled with the chirping of insects. Aunt Lin called them back to the house for dinner, and only then did they leave their comfortable chairs and return to the house.

"Auntie Lin, what did you make today? Why does it smell so good?" Ouyang praised before he even sat down.

"It's chicken soup," Aunt Lin opened the lid, "with some Chinese herbs in it, which is good for your health."

"Really?" Ouyang sat down happily, "Then I'll have to drink a few more bowls.

"Okay!" Aunt Lin was very happy to see that she liked it. "I'll serve you a bowl first."

The deserted courtyard only came alive when she arrived. Zhuo Qiang opened a bottle of red wine and asked Aunt Lin to sit down and eat with him.

The delicious meal revived Ouyang's spirits. He stood in the study, watching Zhuo Qiang write elegant calligraphy with a single stroke of his brush.

"Would you like to write something too?" Zhuo Qiang handed her the pen and let her stand in her seat.

She thought for a while and wrote the character "辨" (distinguish) in a vigorous and powerful tone.

"It's really not easy for you to write such a complicated character in one stroke." Zhuo Qiang sat on a chair beside him. The chair was several times older than he was, but it still stood there intact.

Ouyang put down her pen, sat down across from him, took out her phone, and checked. It was Ji Ou who asked her to meet at a nearby Japanese restaurant later. How did he know she was in the courtyard? Ouyang frowned: "Uncle Zhuo, I'm leaving."

"Wait a minute," Zhuo Qiang stood up, "I bought some things for my grandparents. You can bring them to them when you have time."

"Okay," she said, "put it in my car later, but I have to say, you still can't avoid your grandparents, so you'd better find time to explain everything to them." Ouyang knew that the reason he was most reluctant to see his grandparents was because of his marriage problems, so in order to avoid these problems, he didn't even meet with them, making Ouyang the messenger between them from time to time.

Aunt Lin carried all the things and followed behind her, advising her a few words: "Speak more good words to your grandparents, so that your Uncle Zhuo's relationship with them will not be so awkward."

"I understand." Ouyang took the things from her hand, took a look, and found that they were all precious Chinese medicines. Then he put them in the trunk and said goodbye to Aunt Lin.

When we arrived at the Japanese restaurant, we were led into a compartment by a waitress dressed in Japanese clothes and saw Ji Ou drinking tea.

She sat opposite him: "What do you want from me?"

"I think you know something."

"Know what?"

"Tell me, you are such a smart woman, why do you always pretend to be confused?"

"What exactly do you want to say?"

"I just want to know," Ji Ou looked at her with his cold eyes, "Why don't you expose it?"

Ouyang drank some tea, relaxed, and waited for the waiter to put down the food in his hands and leave. Then he said, "So, why did you do this?"

Ji Ou looked at her, as if he wanted to see through her, and said coldly: "Do you think they are all good people?"

"Are you talking about Shengda and Tanghe?" In Ouyang's opinion, these two people were a little afraid of Ji Ou, but they couldn't tell what exactly they were afraid of him.

"That's right," Ji Ou said, "Remember I was injured last time?"
