Chapter 133: On Fire

The nurse then became nervous: "I'll go and urge them right away." This was a matter concerning her job. If anything went wrong, she would lose this job with a generous bonus.

Zhuo Qiang arrived at the hospital first, followed by Zhuo Lao and the others. The operation was underway, and the three of them were anxiously waiting.

About two hours later, the director came out of the operating room: "Mr. Zhuo!"

"How is Ouyang?" asked Mr. Zhuo.

"She's out of danger and has been transferred to this ward," the director said, thankful to have arrived at the hospital today and to have happened upon Ouyang. Otherwise, not only would the nurses and doctors at the hospital, but even he himself would have struggled to stay in his position. Her condition was far too complicated. Her lungs were already damaged, and her heart muscle power was somewhat weakened. If surgery hadn't been performed promptly, she would have been in the morgue by now.

"Thank you!" said Grandma.

"Thank you for your help!" Zhuo Qiang shook his hand. "I really don't know how to thank you. If I have the chance, I will definitely treat you and your family to a meal. On behalf of our Zhuo family, I would like to thank you for saving my life."

"This is what I should do." The dean left.

The three people walked into Ouyang's ward and saw the various equipment around her, which was enough to make them feel uncomfortable.

She didn't wake up until evening. Seeing several people sitting on the sofa, she asked, "Why are you here?"

Grandma hurried over and held her hand: "Child, do you remember what happened?"

Ouyang closed her eyes and thought about it. The basement was on fire and she was trapped in the room. Then a firefighter saved herself, and then he seemed to fall down.

"Grandma, did you see the firefighter who saved me?"

"Firefighter?" Grandma looked at her, then at her husband and son.

Zhuo Qiang stood up and looked at Ouyang's frail appearance, feeling a little distressed: "I'll go ask."

Only after seeing that Ouyang was fine did his grandparents go back.

Zhuo Qiang asked the nurses, who said the injured firefighters were all in the second-floor ward, and those with minor injuries had been discharged. Zhuo Qiang repeated the original words and then warned, "Don't live in the basement anymore. It's not safe there."

"Hmm!" She didn't want to think too much.
