Ouyang didn't know the details of Mr. Gao. Tang He and Sheng Da came over and greeted them separately.
Ouyang sat in a chair nearby, feeling that Ji Ou seemed a bit overly enthusiastic towards Mr. Gao. Dancing was a must for a party, and she didn't want to stay there, so she went up to the deck to get some fresh air. She didn't know how Mr. Gao had come up to her, two glasses of wine in hand.
"Ms. Ouyang, why don't you dance with Mr. Ji, but stand here alone?"
"Oh," she said, "I'm a little seasick."
"Really? Then this glass of wine would be a waste."
"It's okay," Ouyang took it, "It's still drinkable."
But that small sip of wine made her pass out, and when she woke up again, she found herself on a yacht with three people standing beside her.
"Mr. Gao! He's awake."
Ouyang was pulled up, her thoughts still lingering on the banquet last night. Who was he?
"Should I call you Miss Ouyang? Or Miss Detective?"
She looked at him with disgust in her eyes: "You know who I am? Then you should know Dongya too!"
"Dongya?" Mr. Gao smiled. "Didn't I throw him into the sea?"
Ouyang struggled and tried to kick him, but was restrained by the two people beside him: "Sit down."
"You killed him?"
"I just wanted the information in the HDA. Who knows? He would rather destroy the HDA than hand it over to me."
Ouyang was extremely sad. It turned out that HDA had been targeted by someone a long time ago, and Dongya was killed by this person in order to protect the members in the system.
There was a yacht chasing them from behind, and Mr. Gao's men fired at the other yacht, and the yacht just stopped there. She had lost the strength to struggle and let them take her to another ship.
She was locked in a cabin with her limbs tied up with ropes, unable to move. In the darkness, she felt someone snatch the necklace from her neck.
She hadn't eaten for two days. Someone kicked her a few times and then took her to a clean cabin where everything was white. A needle was inserted into her hand, and her hands and feet were still tied to the edge of the bed, which was a sign of dehydration.
Someone walked in and stood in front of her: "Ms. Ouyang, now is not the time for you to die."
She opened her eyes and stared at him intently. She was confused about this man's background and his motives. This was the most humiliating moment she had ever felt. He knew everything about her, while she knew nothing about him.
"What do you want?"
"Haha," the other person sat aside, tapping on his phone, "I will get what I want soon."
"The HDA has been disbanded."
"HDA has no value to me anymore." The phone in his hand rang. He opened the phone and heard the voice she was most familiar with, "Hello!"
"Where is Ouyang now?"
"She's right next to me," Mr. Gao switched the video and stood in front of them. "But seriously, she looks exactly like the person you've been obsessed with."
"Let her go," Zhuo Qiang said, "and I'll grant you whatever you want."
"As long as you stop the export project, I promise that she will return to you unharmed." The call was hung up.
Export project? Ouyang recalled the documents he had seen at Zhuo Qiang. It was a project worth hundreds of billions of yuan, exporting electronic products to Asian, African and Latin American countries, including various newly developed software and service projects of the Zhuo Group, and even some infrastructure projects.
Ouyang swallowed hard and said with difficulty: "Do you think I'm worth so much money?"
"Ms. Ouyang, you are too modest. Even if Zhuo Qiang didn't have this project, he wouldn't have lost much. After all, the property you inherited from the Ouyang family is enough for him to make a comeback." He said.
"You, cough cough!" Ouyang knew that the project would officially launch in a few days. If anything happened to her, the Zhuo Group would face not only financial problems but also, more importantly, reputational problems. Even if the Zhuo Group didn't go bankrupt, it would lose the government's trust, which would be a fatal blow to him.
She wouldn't let that happen. At night, the nurse changed her medicine, and Ouyang took the opportunity to escape from the hold. A large group of people chased her onto the deck, and at that moment, there were only two words in her mind: escape.
She plunged into the icy water and darkness swallowed her.
"Mr. Gao, what should we do now?"
"It doesn't matter. She's no longer of much use to us."
Fortunately, Ouyang encountered a fishing boat out to sea, and the fishing couple rescued her. When she woke up, they had already harvested a lot of seafood and were heading back to the coast.
Ouyang struggled to get them to lend her a phone so she could send a message to Uncle Zhuo.
In the courtyard, Zhuo Qiang lay in the yard, the company's phone calls to his home non-stop. Aunt Lin had already answered too many calls for him: "Master, they are asking whether you want to start those projects of your company."
"Auntie Lin," Zhuo Qiang said, looking up at the sky. "What should we do if we don't even have this courtyard anymore?"
"What's wrong?" Aunt Lin didn't understand what he meant. "Do I need to call Mr. Zhuo?"
"No need," he stood up, "We'll see each other in a moment."
He convened a general shareholders' meeting yesterday evening. Of course, the people sent by Mr. Gao were already waiting outside the courtyard.
