Chapter 141: Letting Friends Go

"Long Yihang!"

Did he hear Ouyang's voice? She was right next door, looking out from the balcony. She was holding an unconscious little boy: "Don't be afraid, I'll be there soon."

The corridor was completely engulfed in flames, and their only escape route was the balcony. Fire trucks drove over from below, set up a cushion, and used high ropes to rescue them.

Long Yihang crawled over from the next door and held Ouyang in his arms: "It's okay."

He immediately untied the ropes on his body and gradually tied her and the child tightly together. Using the high rope, they were successfully rescued. The child was sent to the ambulance. Ouyang took off the mask on his head: "I knew you would be in danger of your life."

"How can you be so stupid? This is my job!"

The other staff members looked at them and smiled. To them, this was the power of love.

There were several holes burned in Long Yihang's work clothes, which made Ouyang frown. His job was really too dangerous.

"It's work!" She respected his choice; after all, he wanted to inherit his father's noble profession. Ouyang drove away alone, her hands, face, and clothes covered in a foul odor. After driving a long way, she realized she was going the wrong direction. The car was moving farther and farther from the city, and it was suddenly slowing down.

"No gas!" The car stopped on the side of the road. She could no longer turn the car around and could only watch the sun set in the distance.

She got out of the car, feeling somewhat helpless, and first felt for her phone, but couldn't find it. It must have been left behind in the fire. She could only walk to the other side of the road, hoping a car going into town would take her back.

There were many cars passing by, but most of them were trucks, and no one was willing to stop for her. This might have been because she looked so miserable, and everyone was afraid she was some bad person.

It was getting darker and darker, so she had no choice but to go back to the car and try to find a way back tomorrow morning.

Long Yihang returned home late and found Ouyang not at home. He thought Ouyang was having some evening activities, but when it was 11 o'clock, Ouyang still hadn't returned. He became a little worried. He called Zhuo Qiang's courtyard and asked, "Auntie Lin, is Ouyang at the courtyard?"

The Siheyuan is where Ms. Ouyang goes. She said that it can help her get rid of her worries.

"Ouyang? She didn't come today, what happened?"

"Oh," Long Yixing said, a little disappointed, "She didn't go. That's all right."

Aunt Lin hung up the phone. She had met Long Yihang once. They were at the mall, where she was buying a tie for Zhuo Qiang. The man on the phone had left a very good impression on her: polite, attentive, a man Ouyang could rely on. But now she was a little confused and walked into the courtyard: "Master, has something happened to Ouyang?"

"What's wrong?"

"Xiaolong from the Ouyang family just called and asked if Ouyang was here."

"I understand," Zhuo Qiang took out his mobile phone and looked at the positioning system. "You can go back and have a rest. Don't worry about this matter." Zhuo Qiang installed a positioning system on everything Ouyang used to prevent her from being kidnapped again.

He checked the location where Ouyang's car was parked, then drove out. When he arrived at the location on the display, he saw the car parked on the side of the road, got out, and saw the people in the car, and then he felt relieved.

"Ouyang?"

She was almost asleep and rubbed her eyelids: "Uncle Zhuo?" She was a little surprised to see him?

It was almost midnight, and Long Yihang was probably getting a little anxious. Zhuo Qiang gave her his phone: "Call home."

He picked up the phone, dialed the number, told Long Yixing about his situation, and told him not to worry.

When Ouyang got out of the car, Zhuo Qiang was surprised to see her in such a mess. He asked, "Did you go to the disaster-stricken area?"

"Almost!" Ouyang was a little tired. "Uncle Zhuo, you'd better take me back first. I'm really too sleepy."

"You kid," Zhuo Qiang shook his head, "I really can't do anything with you."

After driving all the way, Ouyang actually fell asleep. When they arrived at her house, Long Yihang, who was waiting in the yard, carried her down and said, "Thank you, Chairman Zhuo."

"Well, let her go back and have a good rest." Zhuo Qiang drove away.

Long Yihang was still somewhat unfamiliar with the Zhuo family. At least they still addressed Zhuo Qiang as Chairman Zhuo and Ouyang's grandfather as Old Zhuo. This showed that there was still an inexplicable barrier between them.

The next day, Ouyang woke up very late, and the car that had run out of gas was also delivered. She had to go to the apartment because Mu Jiang was going back that night.

Mu Jiangdeshen looked a little dejected in the apartment. It seemed that he had some unpleasantness with his friends yesterday.

"Didn't I tell you not to come and see me off?" Mu Jiang said calmly, "It would be great if you could stay home with your Long Yihang."

"Where are you getting angry, and you're going to take it out on someone else?"

Mu Jiang, caught in the crossfire, turned sour. "You're happy because I'm angry? You just wish I were like you, every friend." He admitted to his angry words, but he still said them out loud. Because his friends had abandoned him, found new partners, and were so indifferent to him. He was his only friend, but he shut himself out.

"What did your friend do to you?"

Mu Jiang rolled his eyes at Ouyang and said, "He didn't let me into his house. He said his friends were there."

"Then what?"

"And then we had a quarrel," he stood up. "Is our friendship so fragile? He actually blacklisted me."
