Chapter 142: Office

A gust of wind blew on Ouyang's face, and the people around her stared at her strangely. Whose club had she walked into, attracting everyone's attention?

"Miss, this is not the place for you." The man who spoke was wearing a straight suit and had some white hair on his head. He seemed to be an important figure.

Could it be that she was mistaken? The down-and-out woman with long hair who just ran past her had clearly entered here.

"Excuse me, did you see a woman with long hair and ragged clothes enter?"

The man who had just spoken shook his head. "Women are never welcome here."

Ouyang forced a smile. These people were really arrogant. Given her temper, she had to find out what shameful things they were doing here. They were trying to kick her out, and Ouyang couldn't stay here shamelessly. She could only look up the stairs and then retreat back to the street outside.

It was very lively outside, and the people coming and going didn't care who was in the small door or what they were doing.

The reason why the woman who ran in just now caught her attention was because she stole her wallet and cell phone. She moved very quickly, and before Ouyang noticed, the phone and wallet in her pocket fell into her hands.

Ouyang stood outside and observed for a while, thinking that the woman must still be inside. So she walked in again. Just like before, the man with gray hair came out and stopped her, not allowing her to go any further.

"Miss, what's the matter?"

"Well," she said slowly, "I just wanted to wait for someone here. That person stole my wallet and cell phone."

"Miss, did you encounter a thief?"

"Yes, and he even ran into this store!"

The man thought for a moment and stretched out his long arm: "Miss, please sit here for a while."

She was led into a separate room, where the attendant brewed some tea for her. The smell of it was a clear sign of premium quality. Ouyang savored it calmly, seemingly in no rush to find her lost wallet and phone.

After a while, the man actually walked in with her wallet and cell phone: "Miss, are these yours?"

Ouyang took it and looked at it: "Yes, where did you find it?"

"Since the young lady's things have been found, please go back."

His behavior was so pretentious that Ouyang felt uncomfortable. "Well, bring out the person who took my things. I'll meet her and then I'll leave."

"Miss," the man frowned, "according to the firm's rules, women are not allowed to stay here. I have made an exception and helped you find your things. You should leave now."

His order to leave was very polite.

"Can I ask you one last question?"

"Miss, please speak."

"Where's the person who took my things? I want to see her!"

"No. 51 Back Street. You can see her there."

"Thanks."

This time she left very cheerfully, without even looking at the surprised people or looking to see what else was upstairs.

Number 51 on the back street was a small room with a woman huddled in the corner, seemingly afraid of something.

"Don't call me, don't come over here."

When Ouyang came closer, she waved her arms, trying to push her away.

"Hello, are you okay?" Ouyang took out his wallet and pulled out some cash. "Is this what you wanted? I'll give it to you. Can you tell me who just took your wallet and phone from you?"

The woman looked at her with wide eyes: "Bad guys, all bad guys."

She didn't behave like a normal person. She struggled to snatch the money from Ouyang's hand and then ran away.

Ouyang stood there, looking around the small house. This house really couldn't be any smaller. Some of the things on the wall had turned yellow and white, and the things on them were no longer clear.

This place was right in front of the back kitchen door of the house just now. "Office"? It really aroused her curiosity.

Later, after extensive investigation, Ouyang finally understood the purpose of the firm's existence. It served men and was completely exclusive to women. Almost no one knew who the owner behind it was.

The firm has survived the last century, weathering all kinds of storms and carrying on the wishes of our ancestors. They provide a variety of services to gentlemen, whether they are great scholars, businessmen or politicians. As long as they are men and are willing to spend money, they will do their work for them.

The firm has its own lawyers, doctors, teachers, engineers, artists, and people from all walks of life willing to work for them. Of course, their fees are quite high, and unless your life is in danger, you have to pay to enter the firm.

In the living room, Ouyang thought of the woman with a face full of disgust. What was her relationship with the firm? Why did she return the stolen items intact? It was indeed a question.

"Ouyang," when Long Yixing came back, he saw her staring at a pot of flowers alone, "Did you go out today?" She moved the car in the garage.

"Yeah!" She moved the flowers on the coffee table away.

"Where are you going?" Long Yixing followed her into the flower shed. "I'm just worried that you might run into some bad people."

Ouyang smoothed the leaves next to the flower and said, "Don't worry, I'm just a person who can't stay still."

Long Yixing was afraid she would do this. The last time she recklessly rushed into the fire scene, it scared him badly. If she was just as impulsive outside, there was no guarantee there wouldn't be an accident. "What have you been doing lately?"
