Chapter 144 Factory Warehouse

"Captain!" the driver asked, "Why are we following her? We might as well just arrest her and ask her whatever you want."

"What do you know?" Wang Xin sorted out his things. "Based on my experience, this woman is not easy to talk to."

"She's not dumb, it's not easy for her to speak."

Wang Xin shook his head: "Drive your car well."

After driving for about twenty minutes, Ouyang parked the car on a wide lawn beside the road. He then got out of the car, took out two chairs from the trunk, and placed them on the lawn.

Wang Xin, who was standing behind her, looked at her and said, "You're inviting me to come over and sit down."

The colleague driving the car asked, "Captain Wang, how do you know she invited us?"

"How could he not know?" The empty chair was placed in our direction, and the car was heading in the direction we were going, but he didn't say, "Just drive over there."

"yes."

After getting off the bus, Wang Xin sat on the empty chair and took two Band-Aids from his pocket: "Be careful not to get infected." She didn't look like someone who would get hurt often; her skin was delicate and tender.

Ouyang took it and, relying on his own feeling, put it on the wound: "Tell me, why are you following me?"

"It's okay if I don't follow you. Come back to the bureau with us."

"What if I refuse?"

"Then I'll follow you." In Wang Xin's opinion, only those with secrets would not dare to go to the Public Security Bureau, and her secret must be related to that factory warehouse.

"Well, let's make a deal!"

Wang Xin laughed: "You are not from here, are you? Every word you say is authentic."

"It doesn't matter where I'm from. What matters is that I know you want something from me."

"Tell me, besides this factory warehouse, where are your other factories and warehouses?"

Ouyang looked at him and said, "I thought you were very smart, but I didn't expect you to be just an ordinary policeman."

Wang Xin glanced at her and said, "Okay, I, Wang Xin, am just a small police officer. What would the big police officer think? Do they think you are a good person? Or their informant?"

"If I were the one making the explosives, do you think I would sit here and negotiate with you?"

Wang Xin stared into her shiny dark eyes. "Shouldn't I be the one saying this? If you were worthless, why would you be sitting here so comfortably and spouting such meaningless nonsense? Tell me, do you have a factory warehouse? Who are your superiors?"

"stupid!"

"What did you say?"

"I said you are stupid!" Ouyang looked at him with disdain.

Wang Xin stood up and walked around her several times, almost grabbing her by the neck. The two of them were in a stalemate for more than ten minutes. Finally, he couldn't help but say, "Tell me, what's your purpose for coming here?" He looked at so many people that he could tell if they were lying just by looking into their eyes. Ouyang acted too calm in front of him, a calmness not associated with someone who had done something bad.

"I'm going to look for that factory warehouse, too. I'll also find out about the other factories you want to know about soon." She also stood up and faced him, one tall, one short, one male, one female, one hard, one gentle. "But what you want is different from what I want."

"You want to buy their stuff?"

“No.”

"You want to find someone? Ask them to help you with something?"

"Need not."

"So what do you want to do?"

"I just want to know the truth," she looked into his eyes, "and this truth could kill someone."

Wang Xin retracted his judgment of her. This woman was more mysterious than she seemed, and therefore difficult to see through.

"I can help you find the other factories you want, but you have to do me a favor."

"What qualifications do you have to negotiate with me?" Since she knew where the other warehouses were, even if she didn't make this deal with her, she could use her power to get you to speak up. Or she could bring you back to the police station for questioning.

"That is, you get in my car, forget you're a police officer," Ouyang said, "and then listen to me."

"Haha!" Wang Xin thought she must have lost her mind. "What's your name? Let me check if you have any history of mental illness."

"Ouyang Shanmu!"

"Ouyang Shanmu? That's a good name," he took out his phone and typed in her name, "It's a double surname!"

"Have you ever wondered why there's so much gunpowder lately?" Ouyang asked. "Is it because of illegal mining? Illegal fireworks?"

Wang Xin paused, his sharp mind catching on to a heart-pounding case! The newly seized gunpowder warehouse—the results of a month-long investigation. The bureau had received information from an illegal dealer who claimed the explosives were purchased from the warehouse for use in mountain mining operations. Of course, there were other minor uses as well.

Ouya saw something passionate in his eyes, like a wolf spotting its prey.

"You mean someone wants to use these explosives to kill people?"

Ouyang returned to the car and said, "Are we leaving or not?"

Whether to leave or not, Wang Xin looked at the car behind him and gestured to his colleague, telling him to go back by himself.

"What's going on?" The people in the car behind started complaining, "Are we on a pirate ship? This shouldn't be a pirate car!"

After getting in the car, Wang Xin saw three landmarks on the map, pointing to the east, south, and west. "Is this the other factory warehouse?"

"That's right," Ouyang pointed to the east, which was closest to them. "Let's go to this place first. Fasten your seat belts!"
