Wang Xin looked at her in disbelief. How could she turn from a tiger into a kitten after meeting his parents? She acted so pitiful.
Wang Xin's parents looked at each other, and it was similar to what they heard outside.
"What else?"
"What else?" Wang Xin asked.
"Time brings love!"
Ouyang pursed her lips. As expected of a highly educated person, he had such a high level of cultural literacy. She was surprised that Wang Xin had not inherited these qualities, but instead sometimes spoke so rudely.
"Mom and Dad," Wang Xin said excitedly, "Don't believe everything you hear. We are just friends."
Wang Xin's father said in Wang Xin's mother's ear: "I think my son is right. Look, there is a quilt on the sofa, and even his ashtray is outside. They sleep separately." Although his voice was not loud, it could not be hidden in this small house, and the other two people heard it clearly.
"That's enough," Wang Xin's mother finally let them go and walked around the kitchen. "It's okay, you're cooking now." There was a hint of jealousy in her tone. He rolled up his sleeves and busied himself in the kitchen. Ouyang saw that Wang Xin's father had something to say to Wang Xin, so he quickly got up too.
"I'll go pick some vegetables."
The two father and son drank tea and chatted. I have to say that this pair of parents is really well-educated. Seeing their son living with a woman outside, not only did they not lose their temper, but they also treated him so kindly. This is rare to see.
After dinner in the evening, the two parents left in a hurry and Wang Xin sent them downstairs.
"Son!" Wang Yao's father patted his shoulder. "I think this girl is good. You should find a good one yourself and seize the opportunity."
"Mom has to warn you, this girl is pretty," Wang Xin's mother said. "Based on my experience, she's bound to have a lot of admirers. Don't let your dreams get to you."
"Mom and Dad," Wang Xin said. "What are you thinking? We are just ordinary friends."
"Haha, an ordinary friend? If you're an ordinary friend, can you come home on time every day to cook? If you're an ordinary friend, can you wash clothes for me? I say, you're almost like a nanny." Wang Xin's mother said, "I've never seen you so diligent even when you're at home."
"That's enough. This is the child's own business," Wang Xin's father quickly intervened. "No matter what, it's a good thing you didn't do anything rash. You're a good child."
Wang Xin's mother glanced at Wang Xin's father and said, "You only know how to protect your precious son."
Wang Xin watched his parents leave, stood downstairs for a while, looked upstairs, and saw Ouyang standing on the balcony with his hands folded.
