Chapter 147 Losing Your Temper

Ouyang looked behind him and said, "You are the fool."

Wang Xin smiled and said, "How would I know you would go back?"

The two got in the car. Wang Xin was afraid her wound would get infected, so he went to the hospital again. The same nurse looked at Wang Xin with annoyance: "Are you trying to push her to death? I advise you, if you can't live with her anymore, get a divorce as soon as possible."

"Nurse," Wang Xin said, "You're right. There won't be a next time."

After returning home, she had nightmares all night long. She also had a fever, so Wang Xin stayed by her side all night. He even made her a bowl of porridge in the morning. He had really honed his cooking skills over the past few days.

Finally, after a month, she was able to walk downstairs on her own. Although her walking was still a little awkward, she had recovered well. However, her injured right hand had not fully recovered and she could not lift heavy objects.

It was summer vacation at school, and the downstairs was full of children running around. Ouyang was staring at them in a daze.

"Officer Wang, are you off work?" The old man who lived next door to them was playing chess with someone and greeted Wang Xin who had just returned from get off work.

"Hey, you're playing chess."

"Officer Wang, why doesn't he come back so often?" said the old man who was playing chess with the old man. "I'm afraid he's thinking about that woman back home."

"That's right. The two of them have lived together for so long, and Officer Wang has taken such good care of her," the old man pointed at the things Wang Xin was carrying. "Even someone who never cooks at home brings home so many dishes every day."

"The things you buy are different every day. It seems that you cook in different ways!" The two old people laughed.

"Officer Wang, your girl is in the playground downstairs." When Wang Xin walked downstairs, he saw Aunt Li who had just returned home. He kept emphasizing to her that Ouyang was just his friend, but she refused to believe him. Every time she saw him, she would say "your girl", and he was too lazy to correct her.

"Thank you, Aunt Li!" He first picked up the things in his hands, and then went downstairs to meet her.

He saw Ouyang at the playground, talking to two children, looking quite happy. She hadn't smiled like that in a long time, which made him feel a little relieved. A few children saw Wang Xin and ran away, laughing.

He walked over and asked: "Why did you come down here by yourself? What if something dangerous happens?"

"You're making such a fuss," she said, standing up and walking slowly. "My legs are almost healed, so I should come down and walk around."

He helped her walk forward, still worried: "Last time on the street, you said you could walk on your own. Luckily you went to the hospital in time, otherwise you would have become a cripple!"

"If I'm lame, I'm lame! I'm just afraid I won't be able to become lame."

In the past month, the two of them have been bickering more and more, and it has almost become a compulsory moment every day.

"Hey," a mother of a child downstairs saw them, "you two are quite sweet! When are you going to get married?"

No matter what others said, Wang Xin just couldn't stand hearing about marriage. He looked embarrassed and could only respond, "No way."

"Haven't you been living together for so long?" The woman kept asking, as if she had to hear when they were getting married. "Because it's getting late, there will be more trouble."

When the two of them entered the elevator, Ouyang burst out laughing.

Wang Xin let go of her hand: "Are you still laughing?"

"You didn't understand what she meant," Ouyang said with a smile, "She was afraid that once my leg healed, I'd kick you dead."

Wang Xin looked at her. The elevator arrived and he went out to open the door without responding to her next words.

Ouyang stood behind him. He had known him for a while. He had a good understanding of him: a true workaholic. He once had a girlfriend, but she cheated on him because he didn't have time for her. By the time he found out, she was pregnant with their child. Later, his family pressured him to find a partner and get married, so he ran away from home. Although his parents' home wasn't far away, he rarely went back.

She helped him pick vegetables in the kitchen. Her temper had improved a lot recently. It was Xia Yue and Mu Jiang who helped her stabilize the entire Zhuo Group. Grandpa and grandma had passed away, and she didn't even attend the funeral. This was her biggest regret. She wanted to go to grandpa and grandma and apologize to them as soon as she recovered.

There was a knock on the door. Ouyang saw Wang Xin cooking in the kitchen, so he went to open the door himself.

"Who are you?" It was Wang Xin's mother who spoke. "Wang Xin!" she shouted at the door.

Wang Xin heard his mother's voice and quickly came out: "Why are you here?"

The four of them sat in the living room, their eyes fixed on each other. Wang Xin's parents were both university teachers, and they spoke in a refined manner, but Wang Xin looked nothing like them.

"Xin'er, tell me," Wang Xin's mother looked at him, "what's going on?"

Wang Xin's father also looked a little serious: "On the way here, your mother and I heard about your situation. Just tell us what you have to say."

Ouyang nudged Ouyang, signaling him to say something, telling her not to be stared at like this, as she felt very uncomfortable.

"Mom and Dad, what do you want me to say?"

"First, tell me how you all know each other." Wang Xin's mother reminded.

"The hospital," he said. "We met in the hospital."

Ouyang looked at him. This man didn't even blush when he told lies.

"Really?" Wang Xin's mother asked Ouyang.

She had no choice but to nod: "Yes, he saw that I was homeless, so he took me in here to recuperate." Then she stood up and said, "Uncle and aunt, I'm sorry to have caused you trouble."
