The three of them walked out of the coffee shop. Ouyang Yusheng's car was parked outside. He went up and greeted them: "Hello!"
Shan Cong felt that his voice was somewhat familiar, as if it was the same voice as the man who called Mu Zishan last time: "Hello, hello." He shook hands with him.
Officer Lin was a little curious about him, but he still asked Mu Zishan politely, "You don't live in a courtyard anymore?"
She shrugged. "Not there right now."
Ouyang Yusheng was sized up by the policeman and said, "Well, I'll leave the rest to Shan Cong to assist you."
"Thank you, Sir Li." It was good enough that he could help her, after all, she was still on the police's blacklist.
She didn't like such compliments, but she still admired old police officers like him who worked seriously.
When they got home, he stood outside her door, a little worried about whether she could change into clean clothes by herself. An hour later, she came out of the room and saw Ouyang Yusheng standing outside: "What are you doing?"
"Don't you need help?" He pointed to her injured arm.
"Just don't get it wet, that's no problem." She went downstairs, lay on the sofa, turned on the TV, and took a bag of potato chips and put it in her arms.
Ouyang Yusheng sat opposite her, wanting to speak but not knowing what to say: "Do you want some water?"
"Ice water, thank you."
He went to the refrigerator to get a bottle of water, poured it for her and placed it on the coffee table, but decided to ask, "Have you read that document?"
"Yes!" she said very calmly, "I just want to compare and see if I'm worth it."
He naturally didn't understand her way of thinking, but he wanted to know what she thought about it: "Don't you want to say something?"
She stood up and looked him in the eye. "Although I'm not a businessman, I believe there are no kind businessmen in the world. As for how you acquired Zhuoqiang Game Development Company, no one would be interested except those digging for news."
Her indifference made him feel a little uncomfortable. Zhuoqiang Game Development Company was indeed highly valued, including the several new games they had developed, whose market value far exceeded the valuations given by the professional appraisal firms. Their current goal wasn't to keep the company domestically, but to expand internationally, into Africa and Central Asia, and even compete with Europe and the United States. This was their ultimate goal. This company was their weapon against the upper class. If they failed, they would be doomed to be eliminated, and they had no hesitation about it.
"In that case, why did you send him the market assessment?" And he used his mobile phone.
“No reason,” she said, “I just thought they needed to know.”
What he cared about was not the leak of the information, but her blatant contact with another man. Out of jealousy, he decided to ignore her arrogance.
At night he heard something breaking in the next room, but he didn't go over to show any concern. The two of them, like children, started a cold war.
He left home early every day, while she slept until noon. Even with an extra aunt in the kitchen, she didn't seem to be much of a pushover. Her wounds gradually healed, and she lay on a chair in the yard, enjoying the warm sunshine. As for Zhuoqiang Game Development Company, it was indeed acquired. Over the phone, his reluctance was palpable. He also told her that Lu Yang was getting married soon and that he had sent her an invitation, but he didn't know her current address.
She looked at the white clouds in the sky. Lu Yang was getting married soon, and she should have been happy, but for some reason she felt a little guilty. Wang Yao had also sent her a message, saying that Lu Yang's fiancée was the daughter of his father's business partner. She accidentally fell off her chair because Wang Yao had said that Lu Yang would be getting married in the auditorium the next day.
She called Zhuo Qiang: "Where are you now?"
"I'm on my way to the airport," he said. "Why? You want to go back?"
"Stop talking nonsense and drive over to pick me up." She removed the bandage from her arm, revealing some ugly scars, and went upstairs to pack her luggage. She checked the time and waited at the door for a while before Zhuo Qiang pulled up in front of her.
"Your place is not hard to find." He helped her put the luggage in the trunk.
"You're so smart, how could it be hard to find you?" She rolled her eyes at him. "You probably saw a beautiful woman on the road and got lost."
"Still the same as before, speaking with a sharp tongue." He grinned and drove away with her.
On the way, Ouyang Yusheng drove past their car and saw Mu Zishan inside. He immediately turned around and followed them to the airport. Seeing them carrying their luggage and chatting and laughing, he was very angry. She couldn't leave here now, but she was willing to take such a risk with him.
When they got on the plane, he noticed the wound on her arm and asked, "How did you get this?"
"It was just an accidental rub, it's nothing."
"Are you so careless?" He put his coat on her. "If you leave this scar, what will you do when you get married?"
"Haha," she laughed, "Now that I have a scar, no man dares to get close to me."
Seeing her speak so easily, he was a little worried: "It's better to go to the hospital after we get off the plane. After all, the scar has just healed."
"I think I'd better find a place to hide first," she said. "I'm a bad guy now, and the police are watching me closely."
He had also seen some news about her in the news, and hadn't contacted her recently. He didn't know what happened to her, and he couldn't even help her. And it was very likely because she hadn't contacted Lu Yang recently that he was so anxious to get married.
