Chapter 68 Dong Xiuxiu

Du Mei had a profound impact on Mu Zishan. After meeting her, she took her on a tour of the farm. The people there were also very welcoming. Dong Xiuxiu came over and saw Mu Zishan milking a cow, so she walked over to take a look.

"Du Mei, is this cow milked every day like this?" Mu Zishan felt his hands were sore again. "Doesn't it hurt?"

Du Mei smiled and said, "Haha, I don't know if it hurts or not." She picked up the milk bucket in her hand and found Dong Xiuxiu coming over, looking a little shy.

"Let me help you." Dong Xiuxiu took the bucket from Du Mei and walked behind them.

The people on the farm had already prepared everything they needed for the barbecue. She didn't understand and sat by the pool, watching those people immersed in the world of fishing.

Dong Xiuxiu didn't know much about her. She only knew that her husband Lu Yang was killed on their wedding day and there was no news of him since then.

"Mu Zishan?" A girl walked in front of her. "You are much more beautiful than the legend says."

"Legend?"

"Those colleagues said they saw you last time." The girl looked very innocent.

"Do you like Brother Mengmeng?" she said.

"Boss!" The girl stood straight when she saw Dong Xiuxiu coming over.

"Come over and have something to eat," he said.

"OK."

The slow pace of life on the farm makes people feel very comfortable, especially at night, when you can always see the stars in the sky while standing on the hillside.

Dong Xiuxiu was very worried about her health and did not agree with her going up the mountain to watch the stars at night: "You can't go. You can see the stars outside the yard."

She shook her head. "It's different."

People around him found it a little strange because he never nags like this.

"Boss," the man who came with us said, "let's go get some rest first!"

"Go ahead."

She sat in the yard and heard the barking of dogs and the chirping of some unknown insects.

Dong Yuyu sat beside her and asked, "Can you tell me what's on your mind?"

"You want to hear it?"

"You can actually treat me as your brother." He knew that Mu Zishan always liked to talk about himself with Mu Zibai. "If you have any unpleasant things, you can tell them out. You may feel better."

She blinked, now she was no longer the little girl, telling her inner thoughts.

"You and my brother are good friends," Mu Zishan said, "If he were still alive, he would definitely have a drink with you."

"Do you want to drink?" Dong Xiuxiu looked at her with amusement. During dinner, she was not allowed to drink any wine because of her poor health.

"You still understand me very well."

Mu Zishan lived in Du Mei's room, where photos of them from the past were placed. There were also some books in the room, all about farming and animal husbandry.

She casually flipped through a few pages, which were still marked with various notes. She heard voices from the next room, as if Du Ming and Du Mei were arguing.

Mu Zishan listened to some of the conversation at the door, probably about money.

When leaving the next day, Mu Zishan talked to Du Ming and gave them some money, hoping that the farm could be run better.

Dong Kuikui's colleagues praised her, and even the girl who spoke to her last time admired her very much.

She has a unique charm that always attracts people's attention.

When it was time for another checkup, Dong Xiuxiu took the initiative to take her to the hospital for examination. While waiting for the results, he took her to a Western restaurant, his behavior always revealing some concern.

When the results came in the afternoon, the doctor was surprised to find that there was nothing wrong with her, but rather a mistake in the examination. Dong Meimei looked at the doctor excitedly: "Really?"

"Sir, this is indeed an oversight, but it is also good news for you."

"Okay," Mu Zishan didn't mean to blame anyone, "Let's go." Compared to living without a purpose, she hoped to get sick so that she could have a reason to eat and wait for death.

Dong Xiuxiu noticed that she was unhappy and followed her: "What's wrong with you? It's good that you're not sick. Why do you look so sad?"

She turned around and pushed him away: "I want to be alone."

He stood behind her and saw that this was the first time he saw Mu Zishan get so angry.

I stumbled back home from outside. Some of the things in the refrigerator were already spoiled. It had just rained in the early morning, and people outside were walking very carefully.

Lying on the sofa, the phone kept ringing. I turned on the speakerphone and heard a woman's voice: "Mu Zishan, what did you do to my brother?" It was Dong Youyou's voice, "Open the door quickly!"

She could only get up and open the door, and saw Dong Youyou in a Manchu dress.

Dong Youyou grabbed her hand, pressed her onto the sofa, and asked in a questioning tone, "What on earth did you do to my brother this week? How could he run away from home? And he said he wanted to come to your place?"

Mu Zishan panted. Although he didn't quite understand what she was saying, he knew it was definitely related to the erroneous case. "Ahem, could you let me go first?"

"No!" Today was clearly Mom's birthday, and the whole family had agreed to celebrate together, but Dong Meimei left early in the morning. At first, she didn't know why, but later, she secretly followed him and discovered that he had taken Mu Zishan to the hospital. "If you don't explain clearly, I won't let you go."

"What can I say if you don't let me go?" she struggled.

Dong Youyou finally let her go and listened to her explain what had happened over the past few days. He looked at her strangely, "Are you sick? No wonder you've been asking my mom to recommend an old Chinese doctor lately. I thought he was having that..."
