Every month, Wang Yao arranges for them to do volunteer work, visiting the elderly and caring for stray cats and dogs. Jin Lu also has to take piano lessons every weekend, leaving him with little free time. Therefore, he doesn't join the school basketball team, but simply plays with them when he has free time, just to relax.
Xia Yue loves reading, and the study room at home is almost occupied by him alone. Sometimes he would work on experiments in the bushes downstairs, which would cause dissatisfaction among his neighbors, but Wang Yao was very tolerant of his behavior and always encouraged him to keep up the good work.
Ouyang Zishan had no particular ambitions. Aside from the tasks her godmother assigned her, the only thing that lingered in her mind was her parents. She constantly searched online for news on them. Though there was no information about them now, she could always find all sorts of old news and rumors by searching forums for "Miss Detective." She knew her mother was the "Miss Detective," a mysterious figure who could uncover the truth about anything. Even now, many people online were impersonating her, trying to gain attention.
The school performance was held before National Day. Everyone was busy preparing for the performance, and the school was full of joy. The performance started with a piano piece by Jin Lu, and the flowers around performed a swan dance one by one. The audience was silent.
Xia Yue and she seemed a little nervous the day after tomorrow. The makeup artist helped them put on makeup and the staff reminded them that they were about to go on stage.
"Xia Yue, I'm a little nervous!" she said.
"Then do you want to go to the bathroom?" Xia Yue suggested.
"Okay!" The two ran out and just met Jin Lu coming back from the stage.
"Where are you going?"
"bathroom."
Hua Yiyi, who was following behind Jin Lu, watched them pass by her and said, "It seems they are nervous."
Jin Lu was a little worried, so he followed them to the restroom and waited for them outside. People kept coming in and out, and he looked at the time. It was almost their turn to go on stage.

He went to the men's restroom and brought Xia Yue out.
Ouyang Zishan also followed out and walked behind them. It was her first time on such a big stage, and she was really nervous. Her godfather and godmother were also there. It would be bad if she didn't perform well and lost their face.
Jin Lu pushed the two of them onto the stage, dragging their trembling legs through the play. After a grueling ten minutes, everyone took their bows. They unexpectedly received a round of applause, and at the awards ceremony, they unexpectedly won first prize. Their godparents came on stage, holding two bouquets of flowers, to offer their congratulations.
On the way home, Ouyang Zishan, who was sitting in the middle of the back seat, winked at the two people beside him, and then said, "Godmother, can you take a look at the room tomorrow? Can we have an event tonight?"
"What's your idea, clever one?" Wang Yao turned around and asked.
"We want to go to the movies!" She finally didn't have to rehearse, and now her free time was back. "My two brothers want to see it too!"
"Yeah?"
Jin Lu turned his head and said, "It's been a long time since I last went to the cinema."
"I..." Xia Yue wanted to say she wanted to go home and read, but Ouyang twisted her thigh, "I want to go too."
"Well, since you've all behaved so well today, I'll make an exception and let the whole family go to the movies."
At the cinema, Ouyang Zishan was immediately attracted by a social art film about family warmth. In the cinema, the movie made Ouyang Zishan's face full of tears. The next day, the whole family decided to go on a picnic, bringing all the equipment, just like before. Dad was in charge of taking pictures, Mom was in charge of preparing the food, Jin Lu was in charge of planning the route, and the two little ones just had to obey.
They came to a lake, where many water birds were fishing on the water. Ouyang Zishan was lying on the ground wearing sunglasses, smelling the scent of grass and water.
Xia Yue found a few very ugly looking bugs and chased after Ouyang Zishan. Her father used a camera to record this beautiful scene. Jin Lu went over to stop Xia Yue: "Don't tease her!"
"Brother," Xia Yue pouted, "You are biased."
Ouyang Zishan hid behind Jin Lu and used a wooden stick to pick the bugs out of his hand: "Who told you to bully me?"
Xia Yue chuckled as she quickly stuffed the thing in her hand into her hat, and watched with joy as she was frightened to tears. She quickly took off her coat, made sure nothing was slipping down her neck, ran to Xia Yue's side, jumped on him, and strangled him, and the two rolled on the ground.
Jin Lu shook his head and decided that it would be better not to get involved in this fight.
After enjoying the morning dew and sunshine, and relaxing in the hammock in the afternoon, it was hard to leave such beautiful nature. Jin Lu and his father were flying a kite, and it was about to disappear before their eyes.
"If you let it go again, you won't be able to take it back!" he said loudly immediately.
Ouyang Zishan kicked Xia Yue, knocking her to the ground, and then pretended to sleep as if nothing had happened. He was startled from his deep sleep, and after checking his butt and waist to make sure they were not injured, he stood up and saw her feet hanging outside the hammock. He realized that she was causing trouble, so he lifted her up in the same way and dropped her to the ground.
At night, they decided to camp here and set up two tents. The two most naughty children went to collect firewood, their father built a barbecue grill, and Jin Lu went to the upper reaches of the lake and caught two fat fish.
