Chapter 83: Ruler

What Wang Yao didn't expect this time was that Jin Lu had a good talent for painting, and each painting was a work of soul. She decided to hang all the paintings painted by her eldest son in the house.

"Godmother, why don't you praise the photos I took?" Ouyang Zishan saw that his godmother only paid attention to the paintings and expressed his opinion, "How about this, we hang up the paintings drawn by my brother and the photos I took and put them together. It's a really nice contrast between reality and haziness.

"I think this is a good idea," Godfather agreed. "It's beautiful."

"I think I can hold an exhibition at home by then." Xia Yue said.

Ouyang Zishan pushed him down on the sofa: "Xia Yue, I think you are itching for trouble!"

The whole family was amused, and now with the three children together, the whole house felt more lively.

They had gotten quite tanned during their time in Tibet, and they were enjoying the facial masks Wang Yao had made. Wang Yao wanted to restore their tanned skin as quickly as possible. Xia Yue, on the side, kept eating cucumbers and then looked at the cucumbers they had stuck to their faces: "Mom, isn't this a bit of a waste?"

"Stop eating and go cut some cucumber slices for me."

"I'm not going." Xia Yue turned on the TV and watched it attentively.

Later, with the advice of his parents, Jin Lu enrolled in an art school to focus on piano practice, while Xia Yue and Ouyang Zishan attended an international school together, which also served as a good preparation for their future study abroad.

On the first day of school, Ouyang Zishan introduced Xia Yue to his friends, helping him integrate smoothly into the learning environment. Since he liked science, he had a dedicated lab to use, so he didn't have to worry about complaints from the neighbors.

A new semester, a new trajectory. Ouyang Zishan also found her own strengths. She had inherited her father's perseverance and her mother's talent. Lying on the playground in the sun, reading an English version of "Sherlock Holmes," a football fell from the sky and hit her head.

The goalkeeper came over and picked up the ball: "Sorry, classmate."

She glanced at the people standing on the playground, observing their tiny movements. She walked onto the field with the football in her arms and stood in front of a boy who was taller than her. "Did you kick it?"

"I was the one who kicked him. Is there any problem?" The other party looked at her arrogantly.

"No problem, it's just that your kicking was too unskillful." So she threw the ball at his feet and left with the Sherlock Holmes.

From that time on, she discovered that she had such a talent. As long as she carefully observed the actions of others, she could almost guess the person's psychological changes.

She still remembered seeing an English manual in the courtyard. She hadn't paid much attention to it at the time, her English not being very good. Now, thinking about it, she felt it was a useful thing. After school that afternoon, she went back to the courtyard, found the manual, and flipped through a few pages. It turned out to be a manuscript left by Mu Zishan, recording various cases and detailed cracking procedures. She put the manual in her backpack and left.

Aunt Lin saw her getting ready to leave and quickly came out of the kitchen: "Ouyang, stay and have dinner before you leave."

"Uh," Ouyang Zishan checked the time, "but..."

"Your Uncle Zhuo will be back soon, so we can have dinner together."

"Okay." She called Xia Yue and told him that she would not be going back for dinner today.

While waiting for Uncle Zhuo, she put down her schoolbag and admired the well-cared-for flowers and plants in the yard. Aunt Lin and she waited for a long time, but Zhuo Qiang didn't come back, so they had to eat first.

After dinner, it was already dark, and she was about to go out and take a taxi home. But she ran into Zhuo Qiang at the intersection of the courtyard. He stumbled onto the road and almost bumped into a street lamp.

Ouyang Zishan ran over and held his arm: "Uncle Zhuo, why are you so drunk?"

"Haha," Zhuo Qiang leaned on her shoulder, "Ouyang, why are you here at the courtyard? Aren't you staying at Wang Yao's house?"

"I came here to look for something."

Zhuo Qiang pushed her away and leaned against the wall: "You and your mother are just like me. You both use this place as a storage place for your things."

"Uncle Zhuo!" Ouyang went over to support him, "It seems you are really drunk."

Zhuo Qiang lost his balance and fell down, landing on top of her.

"Oh my God," Ouyang Zishan pushed him away forcefully, "It's really too heavy."

She helped Uncle Zhuo back to the courtyard and stumbled onto the bed. He grabbed Ouyang Zishan's hand tightly and said, "Zishan! Zishan, don't leave."

"Ah, I won't leave." She felt a little sleepy and sat on the carpet, leaning against the side of the bed. "I'm not your Zishan. You're such a fool. My mother has divorced you, and you're still thinking about her."

She gradually fell asleep on the ground until the sun rose in the daytime and someone broke into the room.

"Ouyang!" Her godmother's roar reached her ears. "What are you doing here?"

Ouyang Zishan quickly stood up, but because Zhuo Qiang kept holding her hand, she couldn't get over. Wang Yao got angry and directly pulled off Zhuo Qiang's quilt, waking him up from the cold.

"Wang Yao? Why are you here?"

"I was just about to ask you something," Wang Yao pointed at his nose, "Don't you know that Ouyang has class today? And you still...what can I say about you?"

Zhuo Qiang took out his phone and looked at it. "Today is Friday. Ouyang, go back to class quickly. I'll ask the driver to take you there."

Ouyang packed his schoolbag, ran out, and got into the driver's car: "I'm already late, why go to school?"
