Almost everyone at the market knew this pretty girl, and whenever she came, she always got a good seat. Xiaowei was shy and didn't like standing in front of people. So, she always started shouting, using various methods to sell her harvest.
"Sister, look, these are really natural, pollution-free vegetables, fruits, fish, and mushrooms from the mountains. What do you want?"
“Is it really green?”
"Of course," Ouyang Zishan patted his chest, "I just don't have a camera, otherwise I would definitely take a picture of the picking for you."
"Little girl, you are quite eloquent. I want all of your things." The older sister was really generous and took all the goods at once.
Ouyang Zishan counted the money and, adding up the small and large changes, they had earned over 200 yuan. She was overjoyed and bought not only a cane for her grandmother, but also new clothes and a recliner. The two returned home with a full bag, and as they presented these things to her grandmother, an endless feeling of happiness washed over them.
Unlike Xiaowei, she respects every kindness her grandmother shows her and always takes the initiative to do some of the housework.
In this small world, there is almost no human contact. Apart from some neighboring children, there is no one to play with. The gifts of nature are endless. As long as you are willing, you can always find toys and protection in the mountains.
Xiaowei and his friends were best at playing cops and robbers, various toys, and various ways of occupying a hilltop to protect their empire. Every time they played, Ouyang Zishan could always easily find where they were, so her team would win easily.
One day, a group of children excitedly went to play in town, where there were always a lot of people. A group of children would attract attention. Soon, they walked to an orchard where other children were picking oranges. As they approached, the dog barked, and the owner of the orchard ran out and chased away the children who had been stealing the oranges. Just as they were enjoying themselves, the children they had been chased away noticed them and asked, "Hey, which school are you from?"
Seeing that they were ready to fight, Ouyang Zishan walked in front of them and said, "This should have nothing to do with you."
"This is my territory," the boss-like man stepped forward, "If it weren't for you reckless guys, would we be chased and beaten?" He suddenly went up and grabbed Ouyang Zishan's hair and pushed her to the ground.
"You bastard." Ouyang Zishan stood up and started fighting with him. Xiao Wei went to help her, but was also pinned to the ground and beaten by the others. The friends who were with them, seeing that they were no match for the other party, had already disappeared.
They finally stopped, and seeing them leave, Ouyang Zishan touched his forehead, which was bleeding profusely. The owner, who had rushed out of the garden, saw the two children in distress and quickly told them to go home: "Those kids are not good people. They are considered to be the hooligans in this area. Why did you pick on them when you could have provoked anyone else? Go back now."
Xiaowei supported her, and she supported Xiaowei, and the two limped back. In order to prevent grandma from seeing them in such a miserable state, they decided to clean up the area near the well so as not to scare her.
But grandma still found the wounds on their bodies, took some medicinal wine from the room, and gently applied it to them. The two of them sat on the bench in the yard.
"Do you know them?" Ouyang Zishan asked.
"The boy who led the group is from the next village. His father is an official in the village. No one dares to mess with him."
"There's a second-generation official here too?" She blew on the wound on her leg. "Then do you know where his home is?"
"Know!"
"That's good. We can't let them bully us for nothing."
"What do you want to do?"
"You'll know when the time comes."
"Don't mess with him. He has a lot of followers. It would be troublesome if they beat you up."
"Just tell me where his home is, and don't worry about anything else."
The next day, Xiaowei took her through the back mountain. When they were halfway up the mountain, they saw a brick house at the foot of the opposite mountain. He pointed and said, "That's the one across the way."
"I understand. You go back first." Ouyang Zishan said.
"I'd better stay with you."
"No, we're out of firewood today. Go to the mountain and chop some so that grandma can cook lunch."
"Okay then!" Their excuse for going out just now was to chop wood. If they didn't bring anything back, grandma might be suspicious of them.
Ouyang Zishan followed the paddy fields at the foot of the valley and came to a big tree in front of their house. She looked around there, and after his parents went out, she quietly slipped into the yard, smashed their window with a big stone, then quickly climbed up the tree and hid behind the branches so that he couldn't see her.
"Who?" The boy came out and looked around. There was no one around. "That's weird. Am I seeing things?" But he noticed the stone on the ground and suddenly became alert. "Get out here! If you have the guts, don't mess with me behind my back."
She hit him on the forehead with a stone from her bag.
"Ah!" The other person covered his forehead with his hands. "Who is shameless? Come out if you have the guts."
Ouyang Zishan, who was on the tree branch, threw stones one after another, frightening the other party so much that she had to go back and close the door. She then slowly slid down the trunk, patted the things on her body, and suddenly felt a chill on her back.
"Okay, it's you," the man pointed at her with a broom, "Take the things out of the bag."
