Chapter 89 Mu Zishan and Ouyang Yusheng

Ouyang Yusheng sat down. The people sent out had been unable to find her during this period, but he didn't expect her to find this place. He could feel Ouyang Zishan's fiery eyes. If he hadn't been sure enough just now that they knew he was Ouyang Zishan's father, then with Jin Lu's introduction and his daughter's eyes, he could no longer hide anything: "Ouyang Zishan, Dad didn't mean to leave you alone in China."

Jin Lu didn't expect him to say this: "Mr. Ouyang, I think with your ability, it shouldn't be difficult to find out our daughter's whereabouts, but why haven't you contacted us in all these years?"

He looked at Jin Lu: "Compared to the Ouyang family, perhaps your family is more suitable for her growth. Of course, this does not mean that I don't love Ouyang Zishan. She is the product of me and my beloved, and she bears all our love. I am here watching her every moment of her growth."

"But you haven't fulfilled your responsibilities as a father," Jin Lu said.

"If what you mean by responsibility is to lock my child up in this castle-like cage, then I would rather be an irresponsible father forever."

"What about Aunt Mu Zishan?" Jin Lu wanted to know his opinion.

"I've been looking for her."

“She’s in Africa,” Jin Lu said, “working for the people there.”

"Do you have any news about her?"

"She gave you your address."

"I know she definitely doesn't want to come and see me. I hurt her heart."

Ouyang Zishan didn't say anything, but one could feel his sincerity and sadness. He did have his own difficulties. Perhaps he had done a lot silently for his lover and daughter.

"Dad!" she called him.

He was a little confused. When he decided to tell everything, he never thought that he could get his daughter's forgiveness. They hugged each other. Ouyang Yusheng asked them to stay. He heard about Ouyang Zishan's illness from Jin Lu and was very sad.

The next day, Ouyang Yusheng said to Jin Lu in the same tone, "Since she can't remember what happened yesterday, don't let her go through the same pain again. Perhaps forgetting will be a kind of happiness."

Jin Lu recalled what Mu Zishan had said to him in Africa. The same words, spoken by different people, must have been a kind of spiritual connection. He told Ouyang Yusheng the information Mu Zishan had given him, including the address where they were meeting. She had mentioned the small town. Within an hour, Ouyang Yusheng had left the castle and England.

Jin Lu waited for Ouyang Zishan to wake up and decided to take her back to China. He had witnessed what true love was like and he couldn't selfishly possess her. He hoped that she would make her own decision.

Before returning home, he called his mother and hoped that she and his father could pick them up at the airport.

"Jin Lu, where are we going?" On the way to the airport, Ouyang Zishan asked while holding his hand.

"go home."

"go home?"

"Yes, go back to see my parents, your godparents."

"What if I don't recognize them when I wake up?"

"It doesn't matter. We won't leave them anymore, just like I won't leave you. Gradually, you will remember them."

"Okay." She leaned on his arms and smiled with satisfaction.

Jin Lu thought about Ouyang Zishan's parents. He didn't know if they had ever met. If they had, he hoped they could be happy forever. They were the rare people Jin Lu had met who were willing to give everything for love. Their love was untainted, like a flower blooming in the snow, always emitting heat to melt the surrounding snow.

Wang Yao met them at the airport. Seeing Ouyang Zishan able to walk and jump, she felt less guilty. Dad walked beside Jin Lu and said, "Thank you for bringing Ouyang back. When Mom received your message yesterday, she felt like she was coming back to life."

"Dad, you and Mom have been fucking awake these days."

"As long as you kids are fine, it doesn't matter if we worry about you anymore." Dad drove the car and the family returned to their original residence.

Due to his mother's insistence, Jin Lu could not live in the same room with Ouyang Zishan, which made Ouyang Zishan somewhat dissatisfied: "Jin Lu is my boyfriend, why can't he live with me?"

Wang Yao put on her parental hat again: "Anyway, we can't live together if we're not married."

Dad and Jin Lu watched from the side, just like back in the old days when Ouyang Zishan begged his mother for more pocket money. The family had their first dinner together and also had a video call with Xia Yue, who was studying abroad. Xia Yue was relieved to see that Ouyang Zishan didn't have any major problems: "Brother, Mom and Dad, I will graduate early this year and go back to be with you during the Spring Festival."

"That's great," said Mom. "It will reunite our family."

"Study hard over there and don't make your mother and I worry, okay?" Dad advised.

"Got it," Xia Yue looked at Ouyang Zishan and said, "When I get back, you have to remember me."

"I know!" She lay in Jin Lu's arms, "I will definitely remember you, Brother Xia Yue."

It turned out that she rarely called him brother, and she felt inexplicably uncomfortable: "Okay, I have to go to class, wait for me to come back."

Mom and Dad were still a little reluctant to let him go, staring at the empty screen. Mom grumbled, "It was disconnected so quickly, and I didn't even ask him what the weather was like over there."

"Didn't you check the weather forecast tonight? It's sunny there," said Dad.

Ouyang Zishan thought their conversation was amusing and smiled, but Jin Lu pinched his nose and said, "Little fool, what are you laughing at?"

Every time when her godparents weren't paying attention, Ouyang Zishan would sneak into Jin Lu's room. Once or twice, she was caught and criticized, and the next day, she couldn't remember anything. So Wang Yao stopped caring about her. Because of her own special circumstances, going to school was impossible. Her family had to reintroduce her every day. How could she remember what she'd learned?
