Chapter 90 The Disease of Forgetting

"How could I not remember? I just got off the bus, turned left and then right and we're there."

"Just remember it," Jin Luhe touched her trouser legs, which were a little wet again, "Where did you go to play today?"

"It was by the river. I met an old man like me. He couldn't remember his past either."

"You are different from them," Jin Lu emphasized, "You don't have Alzheimer's disease."

"I see." She kissed his neck. "What if I don't even remember you in the future?"

He shuddered and pretended to be serious: "How could that be? You recovered."

"Just in case, isn't it? I mean just in case. If I get lost, you have to find me, understand?"

"Um."

Indeed, what he feared most was that Ouyang Zishan's condition would worsen. Although she already made him very satisfied, her life had just begun and could not be ruined because of his selfishness. He would try his best to cure her illness.

She leaned on his shoulder. While asking him this question, she was also asking herself: If she continued like this, she would live the same life every day. What was the meaning of her existence in this world? Was it just to cause him more trouble? She didn't want to be like this.

So, before going to bed, she learned to write a diary to remind herself for the next day and to work hard for herself today.

Her talent lies in reasoning and observation. No matter who appears in front of her, she can almost judge the other person's occupation and mood. Once, her godmother took her hand to find a very young psychiatrist. When he looked into her eyes, Ouyang Zishan felt that he was not as kind and friendly as he seemed.

The godmother said, "Doctor, my child has a memory problem. Everything else is fine. Do you have any way to treat her?"

"Let her in for a checkup." He put on his gloves and asked her to follow him in.

She was lying on a bed specially designed for examination. His hand brushed across her chest, causing her eyes to widen. "Doctor, I have a problem with my head. Is there something wrong with my heart?"

The doctor took a needle from the side and said: "It will be a little painful, you have to be patient."

She suddenly sat up and looked around. It was very clean and it seemed that he cared very much about this room: "I don't think I need your treatment." She jumped off the examination table, put on her coat and walked out.

"Ouyang, why did you come out?" Godmother held her hand. "This doctor is very famous."

"Godmother, I feel a little hungry again." She wanted to take her away quickly, "Can we go eat first?"

"Look at your child," the godmother turned to the psychiatrist and said, "Doctor, I'll take her to eat something first and come back later."

"It's okay." The doctor took off his gloves and threw them into the trash can.

Just after leaving the hospital, Ouyang Zishan had a stomachache and asked her godmother to go to the restaurant across the street to wait for her.

"Well, come over here after you use the restroom, okay? Godmother will order you some of your favorite food."

"Okay," she said, clutching her stomach, "You go first, I'll be here in a bit."

She went up the stairs to the fifth floor. A nurse and a mentally ill girl followed her and sneaked into the psychiatrist's office. Hiding behind the curtains, she saw the nurse waiting on the sofa.

The man treated the girl the way he had treated her, gave her a sedative, and then walked out of the work area and said to the nurse, "Can you help me find her medical record?"

The nurse looked through his filing cabinet for a long time but couldn't find the patient's information. "It might be in the information room, Doctor He, please wait a moment."

"Okay, thank you for your help."

This was a conspiracy he had designed. Ouyang Zishan took out his phone and recorded it all. The doctor's hand reached out to the girl. To protect her safety, she cried out, "Beast!"

The doctor turned around and saw Ouyang Zishan standing by the window with a cell phone in her hand. She walked towards her and said, "Give me the phone."

She continued filming: "What do you want to do with this girl?"

"Give it to me!" The doctor started to get anxious and rushed towards her. Ouyang Zishan immediately stopped sending the video, then hit him on the head with the chair in front of his body. He took the opportunity to run out and bumped into the nurse who was coming back to get the information.

The man chased her out of the hospital and said behind her: "Do you think anyone would believe what a mentally ill person says?"

She stopped on the road and looked at him: "I believe that as long as there is evidence, you will not be able to get away with it." He was right. She could not serve as a witness. The video on the phone did not show that he had done anything overly intrusive. As long as he explained it as a doctor, the court would have no way to deal with him.

She went to the Dao restaurant across the street. Her godmother had been waiting there for a long time. Seeing that she was not happy, she asked, "What's wrong?"

"Godmother, you can go back by yourself later," she said. "I have some things to do."

"Oh," the godmother put her favorite food in front of her, "You have to eat well no matter where you go."

Her next step was to the police. Whenever the police intervened in an investigation, there would always be loopholes. When she was reporting the case to the police, she unexpectedly saw the doctor. She hid nearby and heard him say her name.

"I have a patient named Ouyang Zishan. She just beat me up like this, and she's even interfering with my work," he said, acting like a victim. "Because she's a patient, she sometimes says strange things. The police must find her to prevent her from endangering public security."
