Chapter 1025 A Secret Date in Dubai (Part 3)

As Fu Hanzheng was leaving, he gently kissed her lips.

Get some rest.

After watching him get into the car and leave, Gu Weiwei closed the door, quickly washed up, and went to bed to catch up on sleep.

Because I had been busy with work for several days and hadn't had a good rest after my transfer to Paris, I slept very soundly.

So much so that she didn't even notice what time Fu Hanzheng came back to bed.

However, when I woke up early in the morning, I was greeted by a familiar face right in front of me.

She watched for a while, then playfully reached out to trace the man's cold, handsome features.

Fu Hanzheng, still half asleep, grabbed her hand and kissed it.

"Are you awake?"

"When did you get back?" Gu Weiwei asked with a smile.

Fu Hanzheng lazily looked down at the girl in his arms, whose eyes were bright and her face was smiling. "You were sleeping soundly, so I didn't wake you."

"Do you have work today?" Gu Weiwei asked.

Fu Hanzheng thought for a moment, "There's a meeting I need to attend at four o'clock this afternoon. All the time before four o'clock is yours."

Gu Weiwei blinked and suddenly made a suggestion.

"Shall we go for a walk on the beach and then come back for breakfast?"

"good."

Fu Hanzheng gently kissed her forehead, then got out of bed.

The two washed their faces and brushed their teeth together, changed into comfortable clothes, and went out.

The seaside villa was only a few minutes from the beach. The two of them strolled hand in hand and soon arrived at the beach.

A cool sea breeze swept over them, and Gu Weiwei excitedly took off her shoes, holding them in one hand and leading him by the other, as they strolled along the beach.

There were only the two of them on the beach early in the morning. The sand under their feet was a little cold, and occasionally the waves would wash over their feet.

"Do you like the beach?" Fu Hanzheng asked, seeing her excited expression.

Gu Weiwei looked at the rising sun that had already emerged from the sea and said joyfully.

"I love it. It's wonderful to be able to see the ocean and sunshine first thing in the morning."

Fu Hanzheng nodded thoughtfully, "Hmm."

Gu Weiwei turned to look at the man beside her and said with a smile.

"However, it still can't compare to the feeling of seeing you this morning."

Fu Hanzheng chuckled; he felt the same way.

Even before they actually met, they had always lived together, though they would occasionally miss each other due to work.

This separation is something neither she nor he is quite used to.

He had long understood the desolation of returning home every day to an empty house, and waking up in the morning to find no one around.

He sighed softly, tightened his grip on her hand, and said apologetically.

I've let you down.

He failed to resolve the family conflicts in a timely manner, making it so difficult for them to even see each other now.

"No, even if I can't see you every morning, you're still in my heart, you can't escape." Gu Weiwei's sweet words came easily to her lips.

In this relationship, he was always the one taking the initiative and giving more.

But she couldn't always enjoy his pampering and care, yet demand that he unconditionally stand by her side when he and his family had conflicts because of her.

He did indeed stand unconditionally on her side, but resolving this conflict would require time and opportunity, and before that, she needed to compromise and back down a bit.

Love is always mutual. He compromised the feud between their families and chose to continue loving her, so what does her compromise and concession amount to?

The two were taking a sweet stroll when her phone rang in her pocket. She let go of his hand to get it.

Fu Hanzheng took the shoes from her other hand, letting her answer the phone with one hand while continuing to hold her hand with the other.

Gu Weiwei smiled, glanced at the incoming call number on her phone—it was a domestic number—and answered it casually.

As soon as the call connected, I heard Meng Ruya's extremely smug voice.

"Mu Weiwei, I heard that you and President Fu have finally divorced."

"You should have known your place a long time ago. You're not even worthy to carry the shoes of the Fu family!"

...

Gu Weiwei glanced at the man beside her who was helping her with her shoes, and found it inexplicably amusing.
