The next morning, Gu Weiwei heard the alarm clock ring three times before she finally got up, still feeling very sleepy.
However, the arm around her waist refused to let her get out of bed.
"Let go, or I'll miss my flight."
Fu Hanzheng rested his chin on her shoulder and sighed softly.
"Let me hug you for one more minute."
"I'm really going to miss my flight. I don't have your private jet, Mr. President. The plane won't wait for me," Gu Weiwei reminded her.
If he hadn't kept her from sleeping last night, she wouldn't have almost been unable to get up at this moment.
Fu Hanzheng hugged her for a minute before letting go and letting her get up.
Gu Weiwei, wearing a bathrobe, ran into the bathroom, took a shower, and quickly changed her clothes before coming out.
Fu Hanzheng was already dressed and sitting in the living room, and had breakfast brought to him.
"I've already asked Lei Ning to drive outside and wait for us. Let's grab something to eat before we leave."
Gu Weiwei sat down, drank a bowl of porridge, ate some grilled bacon and fried eggs, checked the time, and then stood up.
"I really have to go."
Fu Hanzheng helped her with her luggage, saw her into the car, and then got into the car with her.
Gu Weiwei stared blankly at the person who got into the car, "You..."
"I'll take you to the airport." Fu Hanzheng took her hand and urged Lei Ning to drive.
Gu Weiwei chuckled. She also wanted to spend as much time with him as possible, so she simply let him be.
Neither of them spoke a word the entire way; they simply held hands silently.
After driving to the airport, Lei Ning got out of the car and went to the trunk to get his luggage, then waited outside for her to get out of the car.
Gu Weiwei hugged the person sitting next to her, "I will miss you, and you should miss me too, but don't miss me too much."
Fu Hanzheng was amused by her contradictory words, kissed her soft hair, let go of her hand, and opened the car door.
Gu Weiwei got out of the car with him and followed Lei Ning to the elevator entrance to go to the departure floor.
While waiting for the elevator, she suddenly had a thought and turned back, and sure enough, she saw Fu Hanzheng still standing by the car.
She walked closer and gave her a big hug, then asked in a muffled voice.
"Why haven't you left yet?"
“I’m wondering if you’ll ever come back,” Fu Hanzheng said.
Gu Weiwei hugged him for a few minutes and then said.
"This time it's really time to leave. Let's figure out how to see each other again when we get back."
"good."
Fu Hanzheng let go of her hand and watched her leave until she entered the elevator.
He drove away from the airport, but didn't go far. He stayed near the airport until he saw her flight take off, at which point he left the vicinity.
To avoid suspicion, she did not take a direct flight back to Beijing, but instead went to Paris and then transferred to another flight back.
Even though she left first, when she returned to the capital, Fu Hanzheng had already been back for half a day longer.
I estimated that she had gotten off the plane and then called her.
"Are you back?"
"I'm back."
Gu Weiwei sat in the car and responded wearily.
Fu Hanzheng originally wanted to say a few more words to her, but gave up when he heard that she sounded tired.
"Get some rest when you get home. I'll call you again tomorrow."
"Um."
Gu Weiwei responded lazily and sat in the car, feeling drowsy.
It was already late at night when I got back to Yijingyuan. I put down my luggage and went straight to my room to fall asleep.
Early in the morning, Yuan Meng saw the suitcase lying in the living room and came up to knock on her bedroom door.
"Breakfast is ready, get up!"
Gu Weiwei was woken up by her noise and opened the door with her hair disheveled.
Yuan Meng was startled when she saw her, then teased her with a smile.
"How was it? Was this week exceptionally blissful?"
