When Gu Weiwei woke up, she saw a man in a business suit sitting on a double sofa not far away, engrossed in reading a book on prenatal education.
But she was so engrossed in looking at him that she became completely absorbed.
Long ago, she naively believed that only dramatic and complex relationships could be considered true love.
However, this man made her realize that the warmth and sweetness of each day is true love.
A tumultuous and complex relationship is destined to leave one scarred.
Fu Hanzheng glanced up casually and realized she was already awake. He immediately closed his book, got up, and went over to her.
"Get up and have dinner."
Gu Weiwei slowly got up, put on her slippers, and said happily.
"Look, my cold is much better now."
Fu Hanzheng patted her head and led her to the restaurant for a meal.
"I'm going to the hospital early tomorrow morning, so I'll probably have to go on an empty stomach."
Gu Weiwei nodded, "I understand."
Anyway, she didn't really want to eat anything in the morning; she just forced herself to eat for the sake of nutrition.
After dinner, Fu Hanzheng urged her to go to bed early, and then he finished some unfinished work at the company in his study before resting.
Eager to know the results of her pregnancy test, Gu Weiwei got up early without lingering in bed.
Since I was going on an empty stomach, I washed up, put on a coat, hat, and mask, and went out.
When the two arrived at the hospital, He Chi personally came down to pick them up.
He Chi was accompanied by Fu Shiqin and Fu Shiyi.
The three of them stood in neat rows, and the sight of them really startled her.
Fu Hanzheng helped her out of the car and glanced at his two younger brothers who had come running over for no apparent reason.
What are you two doing here?
"Accompanying my sister-in-law to her prenatal checkup," Fu Shiyi said with a smile.
The three of them placed a bet on whether the baby would be a boy or a girl; today is the day the results will be revealed.
Gu Weiwei glanced at the two brothers and sneered.
"You made a bet with the baby in my belly?"
“How could that be?” Fu Shiqin immediately denied, smiling as he said, “We were just showing concern for our future nephew.”
“Yes, we want to experience what it’s like to be an uncle as soon as possible,” Fu Shiyi agreed.
He Chi quickly tried to brush it off, saying, "It's so cold here, let's not stand here. Let's go upstairs and check first."
Gu Weiwei glanced at Fu Shiqin and Fu Shiyi, who clearly had ulterior motives, and said, "If you're really making a bet, then give me half."
"Sister-in-law, really not," Fu Shiqin assured her confidently.
Even if he did, he wouldn't dare say so, because his own brother is there.
"What's there to be afraid of? I don't mind." Gu Weiwei smiled very friendly.
Fu Shiyi lowered his guard and said with a smile.
"We're just curious whether it's a nephew or a niece."
"So you still made the bet after all?" Gu Weiwei said, then turned to look at Fu Hanzheng, who was holding her hand. "You decide what to do."
"Sister-in-law!" Fu Shiyi wailed. Did they sell him off so quickly?
Fu Shiqin glared at him fiercely. This idiot exposed himself and dragged him down with him.
He Chi remained unfazed, acting as if it were none of his business.
However, Fu Shiqin and Fu Shiyi were not about to let him escape unscathed, and pointed at him while speaking to their own brother.
"He also placed a bet, and he bet the highest."
Fu Hanzheng glanced coldly at the three of them, then released his hand and put his arm around Gu Weiwei, speaking gently.
"Let's finish the tests first."
After saying that, he led her into the elevator first.
Although I already knew she was pregnant, I was inexplicably nervous accompanying her to her first prenatal checkup.
