Chapter 1136 Will we share a room tonight?

Fu Hanzheng didn't even have time to change her clothes, so he just put a down jacket over her pajamas and took her out.

As I went downstairs, I called He Chi and explained the situation.

Then, he helped her into the car, fastened her seatbelt, and drove her to the hospital.

"Did you eat anything you shouldn't eat today?" Fu Hanzheng asked anxiously as he drove.

"No, I ate exactly what the nutritionist recommended."

Gu Weiwei gently stroked her belly, feeling even more anxious than he was.

She's been at home these past two days, and she's been extremely careful with what she eats and uses, so there's no way something could have gone wrong.

But why would my stomach hurt for no reason?

Fortunately, there weren't many vehicles on the road at midnight, so it didn't take much time to get to the hospital.

He Chi had been waiting in the hospital's parking garage, and as soon as their car arrived, he rushed over.

Furthermore, they helped open the door and helped Gu Weiwei out of the car.

"I've already asked Dr. Liu to wait. When did the pain start?"

“About half an hour ago,” Gu Weiwei said.

"Has it gotten better now?"

He Chi led the two into the elevator while asking about the situation.

She was sound asleep when Fu Hanzheng called to say she had a stomachache, which startled her awake and made her wide awake.

"I'm feeling a bit better," Gu Weiwei said.

He Chi glanced at her, then looked at Fu Hanzheng beside him, and asked with some suspicion.

"You two...did you...you know what?"

"What?" Fu Hanzheng didn't understand what he was asking for a moment.

He Chi touched his nose and asked awkwardly.

"They slept together."

Fu Hanzheng glared at him and said coldly.

"No!"

"You have to tell the truth, whether it's true or not. Although theoretically four months is possible, it's best to avoid the possibility of your sister-in-law being pregnant with twins..." He Chi didn't believe Fu Hanzheng's explanation and kept reminding him while staring at the elevator as it went up.

"You don't have ears, and neither do we," Gu Weiwei reiterated angrily.

He Chi glanced at her, about to say something, when the elevator doors opened.

"Let's go, let's go see Doctor Liu first."

Although he is a doctor, he is not an obstetrician, so he is not very knowledgeable about pregnancy.

Secondly, Fu Hanzheng would never allow a male doctor to perform pregnancy tests on his wife.

The two arrived at Dr. Liu's office in the obstetrics and gynecology department. The middle-aged female doctor examined Gu Weiwei while asking her questions.

"How long have you been in pain?"

“Less than an hour,” Gu Weiwei replied.

Dr. Liu nodded and continued to ask.

Did you sleep together tonight?

He Chi suppressed a laugh and glanced at Fu Hanzheng.

Gu Weiwei replied, "No, I just felt a bit bloated and painful while I was sleeping."

After checking the fetal heart rate, Dr. Liu said.

"The fetus is perfectly healthy. If you experience this kind of bloating and pain without having had intercourse, it's usually because the fetus develops rapidly starting around four months, which puts strain on the uterus and causes this kind of abdominal pain. This is all normal."

Upon hearing this, Gu Weiwei finally breathed a sigh of relief, her heart, which had been clenched tightly the whole way.

"Is that really the case?"

“Other pregnant women experience this too, but they are usually people with more sensitive pain receptors, so the sensation is more intense. You are carrying twins, so the bloating and pain are more pronounced,” Dr. Liu said.

He Chi called her in a panic in the middle of the night. Luckily, she was on duty at the hospital today, otherwise she would have had to rush over from home.
