Fu Hanzheng was unaware of her thoughts. He ladled out the soup, tested the temperature, let it cool for a while, and then tasted it again to make sure it wasn't too hot before handing it to her.
"It's not too hot, it's just the right temperature to drink."
"Brother, I want some soup too."
Fu Shiyi stared at his older brother ingratiatingly, wanting to feel a bit of brotherly warmth.
Fu Hanzheng glanced at him with a cold look in his eyes and asked slowly.
"What would you like to drink?"
Fu Shiyi immediately ladled himself a bowl of soup and said with a smile.
"I want to drink soup, the soup is so delicious."
Sure enough, brotherhood is a thing of the past.
If he waits for his brother to serve him soup, his brother will probably force his head into the soup bowl and make him drink it.
Seeing her instantly cower in fear, Gu Weiwei laughed so hard her shoulders shook.
Knowing his brother's temper all along, he still tried to be cheeky, but ended up chickening out so quickly.
Fu Shiyi took a couple of sips of soup, put down the bowl, and took out a photo from his pocket.
"Here, Dad asked me to bring this over for you to see."
Fu Hanzheng didn't even glance at it, but Gu Weiwei put down her soup bowl, picked up the photo, and looked at it.
The photo shows a young and beautiful girl, whose eyebrows and eyes resemble hers by about 60%.
"For your brother?"
“Yes, it’s a high-quality replica that my dad found for my brother’s girlfriend,” Fu Shiyi said truthfully.
Gu Weiwei nodded with interest and placed the photo in front of Fu Hanzheng.
"She's young and beautiful, don't you want to take a look?"
"Not as pretty as you." Fu Hanzheng didn't even look at it before tossing the photo back to Fu Shiyi.
Gu Weiwei smiled slightly, deliberately teasing Fu Hanzheng.
"You didn't even look, she really is a beauty."
"You really want me to find someone else?" Fu Hanzheng asked, looking at the bright-eyed, cunning girl.
Gu Weiwei rested her chin on her hand, "Don't you want to try something new when you're with me every day?"
“I have a very limited palate,” Fu Hanzheng said.
The implication is that he is only fond of her taste.
"..."
Fu Shiyi felt overwhelmed by the sweetness of this display of affection and quickly drank a large glass of water.
Gu Weiwei finished her meal with a smile, rested for half an hour, and then asked Fu Hanzheng to accompany her for a walk.
Fu Shiyi was bored being alone, so he went along to be a third wheel.
However, he soon regretted coming along.
Because dog food can be so cloyingly sweet it'll kill you.
The two walked hand in hand in front of him, sometimes looking at each other sweetly, sometimes whispering sweet nothings.
Even when his sister-in-law got sand in her shoes, his brother immediately helped her find a place to sit down, squatted down and carefully cleaned the sand out of her shoes, then put them back on for her.
Fu Shiyi witnessed everything, and could only sigh that his brother was becoming increasingly shameless when it came to spoiling his wife.
I was nervous about my sister-in-law before, but never to this extent.
The fish served to his sister-in-law at the dinner table was cleaned of bones, the ribs were deboned, and the soup was served warm but not too hot.
This isn't taking care of a wife, it's treating her like a three-year-old!
"Brother, do you hope your wife gives birth to a son or a daughter?"
"What's it to you?" Fu Hanzheng asked coldly.
"I bet you'd prefer a daughter. If it's a son, he'll be clinging to your sister-in-law every day, and you'd be furious," Fu Shiyi analyzed to himself.
Fu Hanzheng's face turned cold and stern. "If you don't want to go to the sea to feed the fish, then shut your dog mouth."
How could he possibly welcome such a noisy fellow?
“However, whether you have a son or a daughter, they are key weapons to help you remarry.” Fu Shiyi looked at Gu Weiwei and said, “Grandma’s attitude has softened somewhat. As long as we plan it out properly, we will definitely succeed.”
