With the Chinese New Year approaching, Gu Weiwei and Fu Hanzheng, far away in Dubai, felt no festive atmosphere whatsoever.
Gu Weiwei was busy taking care of her son and daughter, while Fu Hanzheng had to take care of his wife and two children while also working.
Although she agreed, for a month, the child would only stay with them one day a week.
However, she would get up in the middle of the night every day to check on her two children, and stay there for half an hour or an hour before going back to rest.
After a long and difficult week, she was finally able to take care of her two children on her own.
Fu Hanzheng deliberately left work an hour early to come home, and Gu Weiwei had already asked the maid and nanny to help move some baby supplies over.
She was holding her daughter, who had just woken up, her face full of tender joy.
"Is there such a rush?"
She spends all her time with the children, and all she does is move them from one room to her own to take care of them, but she acts like she's moving house for them.
Gu Weiwei smiled without saying a word, and carried her daughter, who had just woken up and had her eyes open, to him.
"Tian Tian just woke up."
Fu Hanzheng looked at his daughter, who was unusually awake, and said gently.
"Can I hug you?"
Thinking back, it seems that he only hugged them during the few days he was in the hospital.
After they were discharged from the hospital, they were mostly cared for by nannies who visited them often, but he almost never held them in his arms again.
Gu Weiwei didn't refuse, and carefully placed the child in Fu Hanzheng's arms.
He took it and said with a laugh.
"He seems to weigh a little more than when he was born."
"Of course she's gained weight. She eats so much every day, even more than her brother. How can she not gain some weight?" Gu Weiwei said with a smile.
After her children had been born for some time, she, as their mother, gradually figured out their habits.
Although Tian Tian is the younger sister, she eats more than her brother. I wonder if she will be a little foodie in the future.
Fu Hanzheng held the little child carefully in his arms, his eyes wide open, seemingly looking at something.
Gu Weiwei stood beside him, looking at the child he was holding, and said.
"They'll be laughing next month."
Fu Hanzheng smiled gently, already eager to see the two little ones smile.
He held her for a short while, and Tian Tian fell asleep in his arms.
The maid came over and announced this in a low voice.
"Mr. Fu, Mrs. Fu, dinner is ready."
Fu Hanzheng carefully placed his daughter in the crib. After watching both children sleep peacefully, he called her to have a meal together.
After dinner, Gu Weiwei returned to her room early and saw that Youyou had just woken up.
She picked up the child and turned to Fu Hanzheng.
"He was sleeping at the time, and only gave Tian Tian a bath."
Fu Hanzheng nodded knowingly, "I'll go drain the water."
After saying that, he went straight to the bathroom, filled the baby bathtub with water, and only came out after confirming the temperature.
"The water is ready."
"And her bath towel and talcum powder..." Gu Weiwei said, holding the baby.
Fu Hanzheng quickly found everything he needed and took it all into the restroom.
Gu Weiwei undressed the child and washed his body, while he waited by with a small pink bath towel. Once she finished washing the child, he promptly wrapped the child in the towel, their cooperation was perfectly tacit.
She glanced at Fu Hanzheng, then carried the child to a table to the side, dressing him as she spoke with a smile.
"Youyou, Daddy is great, isn't he?"
Fu Hanzheng smiled without saying a word, waiting for her to finish dressing the child before taking the child and holding him in his arms.
"Let me hold you for a while, you can rest."
Gu Weiwei handed the child to him, and together they went out and put the child in the crib.
"They're already asleep. If you still have work to do, go ahead and do it."
Fu Hanzheng glanced at the two sleeping children in the crib before going upstairs to handle his work.
When he went downstairs back to his room, Gu Weiwei was already asleep.
However, her daughter, Tian Tian, had already woken up in the crib, her eyes open silently.
