Li Xin'er wore a light purple evening gown and delicate, elegant makeup. She looked gentle and pure, just like a lady from a prestigious family.
"Weiwei, I kept calling you but you didn't answer. I thought you'd forgotten Grandpa Wei's birthday."
Wei Ziting didn't recognize her at first, but after hearing Li Xin'er speak, he realized that the person in front of him was Mu Weiwei.
However, the Mu Weiwei in front of me was far removed from the mischievous and willful little girl I remembered.
She is more beautiful and has a better presence than before.
"Weiwei, it's been a long time. Has Ziqi contacted you recently?"
Gu Weiwei frowned speechlessly before remembering that today was Old Master Wei's birthday.
But damn, Beijing is so big, with so many restaurants, how could I possibly run into them while having a meal?
Li Xin'er smiled gently, "Let's go in and sit down."
"I'm not here for a birthday banquet," Gu Weiwei said coldly.

"Look at how I was with Ziting, you still can't let go, you still hate me."

Gu Weiwei gave a speechless sneer. Whenever Li Xin'er was in front of Wei Ziting and the Wei family, she could always be so gentle and weak that she was so pitiful, making Mu Weiwei seem unruly and rude in comparison.
"Then make way and let us pass. I have no interest in your banquet."
Although she had lost her appetite, she still had to eat the meal since Ji Cheng had made a rare reservation.
"Weiwei, since you're already here, why don't you say hello to Grandpa Wei? He's always been thinking of you." Li Xin'er smiled knowingly, seemingly inviting him sincerely.
"I'm busy." Gu Weiwei glanced at Ji Cheng, really not wanting to stay for dinner.
"My grandfather has always doted on you so much, is it so hard for you to come and wish me a happy birthday?" Wei Ziting glared at her with dissatisfaction.
Grandpa has always treated Mu Weiwei like his own granddaughter. Xin'er only invited Mu Weiwei to her birthday celebration because she wanted to make Grandpa happy today, but Mu Weiwei gave her such a cold shoulder.
Gu Weiwei smiled coldly, "My mother still treats Zhou Meiqin like a sister, yet she still dares to move in and take over my house."
Li Xin'er was so aggrieved that she was on the verge of tears, which broke Wei Ziting's heart.
"Since you're not here to offer birthday wishes, then you should leave. Don't let my grandfather see you."
Having gleaned some understanding, Ji Cheng pulled Gu Weiwei aside and spoke.
"What a pure and innocent white lotus flower! I'm going to be disgusted if I keep looking at it. Let's go."
As the three of them left, Li Xin'er spoke gently and softly to Wei Ziting.
"Brother Ziting, how about... we postpone our engagement until later?"
"Didn't we already agree on this?" Wei Ziting asked softly, holding her hand with concern.
“Because Mom and Dad got married, Weiwei couldn’t accept it and left home. If we get engaged again, I’m afraid she’ll be even more upset…” Li Xin’er said, squeezing out a few tears.
The pear blossoms, glistening with rain, are so lovely and endearing.
Wei Ziting sighed and tenderly pulled her into his arms.
"You've always been like this since you were little. Even though she's the one who doesn't know what's good for her, you still have to think about her and always make yourself suffer."
Li Xin'er forced a smile and said, "We're sisters who grew up together. Now that Aunt Mu is gone, we should take care of her feelings."
Wei Ziting thought for a moment and said helplessly.
"Alright then, but don't keep me waiting too long."
"Brother Ziting, I knew you were the best," Li Xin'er said softly with a smile.
The proposal she wanted was not something as simple as one held at a birthday banquet.
She wants to have a marriage proposal that everyone will be watching on the day she wins the Golden Phoenix Award for Best Actress.
