An inappropriate remark made the atmosphere at dinner unusually somber.
After their meal, the two sat there in silence, gazing at the bright starry night sky outside the window.
No one spoke, and no one suggested leaving.
They were not informed by the restaurant's waiter that the restaurant was closing.
The two had no choice but to leave the restaurant, Gu Yunche said.
"I'll take you back."
"No need." Luo Qianqian, in a bad mood, subconsciously refused.

Luo Qianqian forced back the tears welling up in her eyes. He meant to return the phone to her, sever all ties, and never see her again.
"I never intended to take back what I gave away."
“However, I cannot answer any of the questions you have about me,” Gu Yunche said.
She said she didn't understand him at all, and he didn't understand her well either.
He could never tell her anything she wanted to know.
He didn't want to learn more about her, and he didn't want to get too deeply involved with her.
"Can I know why?" Luo Qianqian's voice trembled slightly and was hoarse.
