Because the Shiva temple that Gu Yunche mentioned was in the suburbs outside the old city, Luo Qianqian had breakfast early the next morning and then went to find a place to rent a car.
Then, I drove out of Bangalore's old town to find the Shiva temple in the suburbs.
The phone's navigation wasn't very accurate either, and she was completely lost on the unmarked dirt road.
One person drove around for nearly two hours but still couldn't find the Shiva temple.
Moreover, when she, a Chinese girl, drove out of an Indian village, she was surrounded by onlookers.
Some men even have an unsettlingly aggressive gaze.
She drove around several roads but couldn't find the temple, so she ate lunch with the food and water in her car.
It was already afternoon, and if she couldn't find the temple soon, she might miss meeting Gu Yunche.
Then she saw an Indian girl coming out of a village, and she pulled out a picture of the temple from her phone and asked her about it.
However, the girl spoke a long string of Hindi, and she couldn't understand a single word.
She asked the other person in English if they could speak English, but the other person couldn't understand her.
She was wondering what to do when the Indian girl got into her car and gestured for her to drive along the road.
"Are you going to lead the way for me?"
Luo Qianqian was overjoyed and immediately got into the car, started the engine, and drove away following the road the girl pointed out.
However, the girl sitting in her car would often turn her head to look at the back of the car, seemingly a little nervous and uneasy.
After driving for nearly an hour, the Indian girl would give directions at the forks in the road. Finally, after turning at another fork in the road, she saw the distant view of the photo she had seen in pictures.
"Shiva Temple, this is the Shiva Temple!"
Luo Qianqian happily found a place to park the car and was about to get out when the Indian girl sitting in the passenger seat grabbed her hand.
The Indian girl kept waving at her and pointing to the road, indicating that she should drive along the road.
“This is the place I’m looking for. I need to go here.” Luo Qianqian pointed to the Shiva Temple in the distance.
The Indian girl kept gesturing and trying to say something to her, but Luo Qianqian, who didn't understand Hindi, couldn't understand at all.
Later, remembering what the hotel staff had said about tipping, he took out some change from his bag and gave it to the girl.
However, the Indian girl refused to take her money and kept giving her directions, urging her to drive away.
Luo Qianqian glanced at the temple in the distance, but still insisted on getting off the bus.
The Indian girl also got off the bus with her, muttering something to herself, seemingly in a hurry.
Luo Qianqian couldn't understand her, and she couldn't understand Luo Qianqian. The two of them spoke their own languages and gestured wildly, completely talking at cross purposes.
After walking for about ten minutes, the two finally arrived at the Shiva temple that Luo Qianqian had been searching for.
However, the temple is not large and looks very old and dilapidated.
She didn't know if Gu Yunche had already arrived, so she gestured for the Indian girl to wait for her outside, and then carefully slipped inside. After looking around, she didn't see Gu Yunche, but instead bumped into an Indian monk.
She thought for a moment, then took out her phone and pulled out a photo of Gu Yunche that she had unintentionally taken in San Malo, asking him if he had already been there.
The Indian monk looked at the photo, then at her, and asked in broken Chinese.
"You're looking for...Mr. Gu?"
