After ending the call with Raymond, Fu Hanzheng sat in his study with a solemn expression, pondering the various pieces of information he had recently obtained about the Gu family in order to deduce Gu Siting's purpose.
Actually, it's obvious without much guessing that Gu Siting's target is Weiwei.
However, what he needs to speculate and guard against is how he will achieve his goal.
She had lived in the Gu family for over twenty years, yet Gu Siting caused her to die tragically within the Gu family.
She has long since lost the right to love him, yet she still fantasizes about returning to the Gu family and to his side.
Perhaps Gu Siting still loves her, but he also has possessiveness and resentment. He is resentful that she, who grew up in the Gu family, ended up marrying his mortal enemy.
That's why she went to such lengths to take her away from him.
Even though he knew she no longer loved him, and even though he knew she wouldn't be happy that way.
After hearing Raymond's report, he called Lei Ning again.
“If your wife and children go out recently, you must go with them.”
Gu Siting has been keeping a close eye on security here, so he's probably planning to take action.
Yuan Meng promised to come back this month, but she hasn't returned yet.
“Yes, boss,” Yuan Meng replied firmly.
Fu Hanzheng gave instructions on the security work in the villa area before he felt relieved and continued to handle his work. He held two international video conferences in a row, and before he knew it, it was already midnight.
Gu Weiwei woke up after a nap and found that the other side of the bed was still empty, so she put on her bathrobe and went upstairs to the study.
Fu Hanzheng had just finished his last video conference. He rubbed his temples wearily and sighed heavily, thinking about the various unusual things that had happened at the Gu family's place.
Gu Weiwei pushed the door open and came in, only to see him leaning back in his chair, sighing with a weary expression.
"What's wrong? Are you having business troubles?"
Fu Hanzheng snapped out of his daze and looked at his young wife who had come looking for him, asking her a question.
"Why aren't you asleep yet?"
"You've already woken up from your nap." Gu Weiwei walked over and reached out to massage his shoulders. "Is there trouble at work?"
"It's nothing," Fu Hanzheng said with a light smile.
"Unfortunately, I don't have a knack for business, so I can't help you much with your business," Gu Weiwei said helplessly.
Fu Hanzheng grabbed her hand that was on his shoulder and pulled her down to sit in his lap.
"Mrs. Fu, of course you can help."
"Really?" Gu Weiwei raised an eyebrow and asked seriously, "What is it?"
"There's something I can't do without you," Fu Hanzheng said, pulling her close to his belt buckle.
Gu Weiwei blushed and punched him in the chest.
"What time is it? What are you still thinking about? Go back to sleep."
"Sleeping is a verb, right?"
Fu Hanzheng used the same words she had used to flirt with him before to flirt back.
“Noun!” Gu Weiwei said, then got up to leave.
Fu Hanzheng picked him up and carried him downstairs from the study, saying as he did so.
"However, I remember it being a verb."
"It's clearly always been a noun," Gu Weiwei insisted, blushing.
Fu Hanzheng thought for a moment, then went into the master bedroom, kicked the door shut, put the person on the bed, and pressed down on top of him.
"Let's verify whether it's a verb or a noun."
One night, the man shamelessly proved to her that the word "sleep" is a verb.
Gu Weiwei, drenched in sweat, nestled in his arms, feeling that she would never be able to look at the word "sleep" the same way again.
Fu Hanzheng wrapped his arms around the person in his arms, lowered his head and gently kissed her shoulder, whispering softly.
"Weiwei, I love you."
Gu Weiwei nodded sleepily, her eyes half-closed, and mumbled something.
"I know, I know..."
