Chapter 1612 The Bitter Flesh Scheme

He Chi stayed on the sofa in the monitoring room and slept, while Yuan Meng sat in the computer chair and stared at Gu Yunche all night. Gu Yunche really did stay in the hospital all night and didn't leave.

However, perhaps out of consideration for the Luo family, he did not go into the ward to visit Luo Qianqian.

Luo Qianqian woke up at dawn, with his parents by his bedside, overjoyed to see him awake.

"Dad, Mom, I'm fine, don't worry."

“You say it’s nothing? You always run into trouble when you go abroad, it’s like foreign countries are against you. You’re not allowed to go there anymore,” Luo’s mother said firmly.

Luo Qianqian thought about it and realized that it was true that she always encountered all sorts of bad luck when she left China, this blessed land, and went abroad.

"Okay, okay, I won't go," Luo Qianqian said with a smile.

Hearing that she agreed so readily, Luo's mother sighed.

"You really scared your father and me to death."

"It's my fault for being unfilial. I'm so sorry," Luo Qianqian said, feeling deeply apologetic.

For her own selfish reasons, she caused her parents to worry about her and rush to the hospital at night, not sleeping a wink.

"Alright, it's good that our daughter is alright, let's not talk about her anymore."

When Luo's father saw his daughter lying in bed apologizing to them, he interrupted his wife's nagging with some heartache.

Luo's mother packed her bag, stood up, and said.

"Then you stay here with our daughter. I'll go back and get some things I need. I came in a hurry yesterday and didn't prepare anything."

As soon as she left the ward, she saw Gu Yunche standing in the corridor and lowered her feet as she passed by.

"Hello, is there something wrong that you need help with?"

She came out of the ward several times and saw him staying there since last night.

He didn't seem like a patient, nor did he seem like a family member accompanying another patient.

"No need, thank you." Gu Yunche shook his head.

Luo's mother was in a hurry to get home, so she didn't ask any more questions and went to the elevator to go home and get her things.

Luo Qianqian lay in the hospital bed. Although she knew that Gu Yunche had come to the hospital last night, she didn't dare to ask her father about it because her father didn't know about her relationship with Gu Yunche.

At eight o'clock in the morning, He Chi went to work and made rounds. When he arrived at the ward, he asked a few questions about the patient's physical condition after waking up.

Then, he called Luo's father to ask the nurse to come and check his temperature and blood pressure.

When Luo Qianqian's father arrived at the nurses' station, he asked with a mysterious smile.

"Are you curious about where Mr. Gu went?"

Luo Qianqian's eyes lit up as she stared intently at him. "You know?"

"He's been standing in the hallway all night, and he's still here," He Chi said softly.

"The hallway outside?" Luo Qianqian asked in surprise, "All night?"

He Chi nodded, "That's right, he's like a wooden stake."

Luo Qianqian breathed a long sigh of relief, a hopeful smile appearing in her eyes, but when she thought of everything that happened at the airport yesterday, her gaze dimmed again.

"We've already put on this whole charade for you. The rest is up to you. Don't let your family know, and don't let that guy surnamed Gu know either." He Chi gave a few instructions, and when he saw Luo Qianqian's father bring in a nurse, he said, "After the IV drip is finished, help her to the corridor to move around."

"Activities? Is she able to move around now?" Mr. Luo pressed.

"Of course you can, otherwise your intestines will stick together, and in severe cases, it can cause an obstruction. You'll need to move around for three hours."

After giving his instructions, He Chi left the ward to attend a meeting.

No sooner had he left than Yuan Meng arrived.
