A few days after Gu Yunche came to see her, Luo Qianqian and Ji Cheng finally finished their own business and had time to meet her.
However, because of what happened before, Fu Hanzheng told her to try not to go out without someone accompanying her. Considering that she would have to bring a whole bunch of people with her when she went out, she simply gave up on that idea.
So, I invited Ji Cheng and Luo Qianqian to the Pearl River Grand View, in the same tea room where I had met Gu Yunche before.
Gu Weiwei had some snacks delivered, and the three of them, who rarely got together, started chatting enthusiastically as soon as they sat down.
Of course, most of the time Ji Cheng was the one talking, while she and Luo Qianqian listened, occasionally getting a retort from Luo Qianqian.
After a long and difficult wait, Luo Qianqian finally asked Gu Weiwei a question after Ji Cheng finished speaking.
"By the way, didn't you say last time that you had something to tell me and Ji Cheng, and that you wanted to say it today?"
Gu Weiwei smiled and then nodded.
"What secret is it that you're only now sharing with us?" Ji Cheng asked gossipy.
Actually, she had been curious for a long time, but since she didn't say anything, she didn't want to press her for answers.
She thought she would never tell her and Qianqian, but she never expected that she would tell them now.
Gu Weiwei poured a cup of tea for each of them, carefully considered her words, and then slowly began to tell them her true identity.
Ji Cheng and Luo Qianqian were stunned. She had finished speaking for quite a while, but they still hadn't figured it out.
Ji Cheng stared at her for a few seconds, then looked down at his phone and searched for photos before speaking.
"You mean, you're not the Mu Weiwei we know, but this Gu Weiwei?"
As he spoke, he showed her a photo that a reporter had secretly taken of her at the Gu family home.
Gu Weiwei nodded. "Yes."
“But you are clearly Mu Weiwei, you don’t look like Gu Weiwei at all.” Ji Cheng looked at her and then at the photo, but he couldn’t figure it out no matter how hard he tried.
Luo Qianqian sighed and spoke.
"Gu Weiwei is dead. It's like her soul has been reborn in another person's body. Right now, her body looks like Mu Weiwei, but her soul is Gu Weiwei's soul. Do you understand now?"
"Soul rebirth?" Ji Cheng felt today's topic was a bit fantastical. He stared at Gu Weiwei for a moment and said, "Do people really have souls after they die?"
"There should be some," Gu Weiwei said with a faint smile, otherwise she wouldn't be the way she is now.
Ji Cheng reached out and tapped his head. "No, my IQ isn't quite up to par."
"You talk as if you have enough for everyday use," Luo Qianqian scoffed.
Ji Cheng rested his elbows on the table, and the two of them sighed, holding their heads.
"No, this gossip is too much; let me digest it."
Compared to Ji Cheng's disbelief, Luo Qianqian was surprised at first, but not too shocked.
Because they had long ago noticed the unusual things about her.
The answer she gave now made all those unusual things seem reasonable.
"Does Fu Hanzheng know about these things?"
The feud between the Fu family and the Gu family is common knowledge.
Given her connection to the Gu family, can Fu Hanzheng and the Fu family accept it?
Gu Weiwei nodded with a smile, "He and the Fu family both know."
Luo Qianqian frowned and pondered for a moment, "On the day of the wedding in Slovakia?"
Gu Siting from the Gu family appeared at the wedding that day. Afterwards, all the guests went upstairs, leaving only her and the Fu family in the hall. Then came the news that Old Madam Fu was seriously ill and hospitalized, and the wedding was canceled.
