As dusk fell, it was time for dinner at the Gu residence.
Kuroda Shigeo came upstairs and knocked on the door. "Miss Weiwei, Mr. Gu asked me to invite you downstairs for dinner."
"I don't want to eat." Gu Weiwei didn't even open the door, directly refusing the invitation.
Kuroda Shigeo remained silent outside the door for a few seconds before offering a reminder.
"If Miss Vivi wants to see the child tomorrow, she should go."
Gu Weiwei pursed her lips. Here we go again.
Now, besides threatening Youyou's safety, he can't do anything else.
Keiko Kuroda opened the door and coldly stared at Shio Kuroda outside.
"I've really misjudged you all these years."
Gu Siting went mad, and he even supported him in committing all sorts of evil deeds.
Kuroda Shigeo remained expressionless. "Keiko, you should go back. Your child misses his mother very much, and... staying here won't change anything."
"Whether I leave or not is my business," said Keiko Kuroda, preparing to go downstairs with Weiwei Gu.
However, he was stopped by Kuroda Shio after taking only two steps.
"Your meal is in the west hall; Mr. Gu doesn't want to be disturbed."
Gu Weiwei glanced at Kuroda Keiko and Luo Qianqian, who were going to come with her, and said, "It's alright, you can have your meal in the west hall."
Now that Youyou is still in his hands, whatever he says goes, and none of them can disobey him.
After saying that, she followed Kuroda Shigeo downstairs and sat down at the other end of the long table in the restaurant.
However, she simply lowered her eyes and ate her meal, not even glancing at the person sitting opposite her.
Gu Siting elegantly ate with his silver cutlery. "I know you came back only to get clues about that child so that Fu Hanzheng in China can find the child as soon as possible."
She informed the Chinese side today, and he knows it too.
However, Gu Weiwei did not respond to his words, and silently ate her meal, completely ignoring the person opposite her.
“Unless I release that child back, Fu Hanzheng will never find him,” Gu Siting said confidently.
Gu Weiwei wiped the sauce off her lips with a napkin. "What exactly does that lab do?"
“I thought you wouldn’t care about this, except for the child.” Gu Siting smiled lightly.
"Since I'm the subject of this experiment, I should at least be curious," Gu Weiwei said coldly.
Gu Siting looked at her, making no attempt to hide anything.
"That's an instrument used to perform surgery on the hippocampus and cerebral cortex of the human brain."
Gu Weiwei curled her lips in a mocking smile; she had guessed correctly.
The hippocampus and cerebral cortex of the human brain are where memories are stored, and she really did want to erase her memories after her rebirth.
"After drugs and hypnosis failed last time, are you trying to control my memory with that broken device this time?"
“I know you’re disgusted, but you can’t refuse,” Gu Siting said.
Because the child was in her hands, even if she didn't want to participate in the experiment, she couldn't refuse.
“I can’t refuse, but you might not succeed.” Gu Weiwei finished speaking, put down her knife and fork, and stood up. “I’m done eating.”
"You haven't drunk your wine," Gu Siting reminded him.
Gu Weiwei picked up her glass of red wine and drank it all in one gulp. Looking across the long table at the young man at the far end who resembled an English aristocrat, she spoke.
“Gu Siting, I think there’s something you’ve misunderstood. Even before I met Fu Hanzheng, I never loved you.”
"Even if I hadn't met him, I would never have fallen in love with you, because... you are the kind of person I utterly despise."
