Gu Siting chuckled and took a sip of the red wine.
"Is there?"
Gu Weiwei lowered her eyes to eat, and casually asked a question.
"You just said you'll be staying here temporarily and can't go home?"
"I won't go back for now," Gu Siting said.
"So you're going to spend your birthday here too?" Gu Weiwei looked up at him and asked.
Gu Siting smiled lightly and asked.
"Where do you want to be?"
Gu Weiwei thought about it carefully and then said.
"Anyway, not here. This place is really not suitable for a birthday party."
Gu Siting nodded after hearing this, "Then tell me which place is suitable, since it's not convenient to go home right now."
Although it was their home, now a group of uninvited guests were staying there.
“If it’s inconvenient at home, let’s go to Aunt Gu’s place. That way, it’ll save her and Grandpa from coming to find us,” Gu Weiwei said.
Gu Siting paused for a moment, then nodded.
"Okay, let's go there."
That year, they did plan to celebrate his birthday at his mother's house, but he couldn't make it back because of work in New York.
Gu Weiwei smiled, seemingly pleased by his answer.
Then, after thinking for a moment, he asked.
Are you going out in a bit?
"I need to go to the company." Gu Siting glanced at her and asked, "Do you want to come with me?"
"Can I go?" Gu Weiwei asked, raising an eyebrow.
“Of course you can go,” Gu Siting said.
Gu Weiwei smiled happily, and her appetite improved greatly.
After the two had a meal, Gu Siting received a call from his company, so he took her away from the laboratory to the Gu Group.
Gu Siting kept her in his office, saying, "If you need anything, just tell Zhixiong. I'm going to a meeting."
Gu Weiwei nodded, waved to him, and then turned to Kuroda Shigeo.
"Zhixiong, make me a cup of black tea. I also want to eat chiffon cake. Do you know which shop it is?"
Kuroda Shigeo was stunned for a moment, looking at the person in front of him in disbelief.
Seeing that he didn't move, Gu Weiwei frowned and said.
"What, besides my brother, I can't get you to do anything?"
Kuroda Shigeo snapped out of his reverie, shook his head, and said...
"Miss Vivi, please wait a moment, I'll have someone go and buy it right away."
Less than half an hour later, Kuroda Shigeo brought in a small piece of chiffon cake and a pot of brewed Ceylon tea.
"Miss Vivi, here's your black tea and chiffon cake."
Gu Weiwei picked up a fork, scooped out a small piece of cake, tasted it, and smiled with satisfied eyes.
"As expected, this place is still the best. Did you save some for my brother?"
“I’ve kept it.” Kuroda Shio smiled.
If it weren't for the fact that the person's appearance had changed, he would have been somewhat dazed, as if this person had never left.
It seems that the result that President Gu had been hoping for has been achieved.
Gu Siting's meeting lasted nearly two hours. When he returned, he saw people who had eaten and drunk their fill resting on the sofa, looking very relaxed, as if they were very satisfied with the afternoon tea.
He waved to Kuroda Shigeo, signaling him to leave.
I originally intended to come in and work, but before I knew it, I was sitting across from her, and I became mesmerized by the sight of her sleeping.
After a while, Gu Weiwei rubbed her eyes and woke up, seeing him blink.
When did you get back?
“Just now,” Gu Siting replied with a smile.
Gu Weiwei pointed to the cake box placed to the side and smiled happily.
"I asked Zhixiong to buy a chiffon cake and saved one for you."
Gu Siting's smile deepened. "Thank you."
Gu Weiwei took it out for him and handed him the fork.
"for you."
