Gu Weiwei looked at Fu Hanzheng's right hand, which was in a cast, her face full of worry that she herself did not realize.
Is it serious?
"It's not serious, it will get better after a while." He Chi felt a pang of conscience seeing Gu Weiwei's worried expression.
Gu Weiwei felt a huge weight lifted off her shoulders. "Have any other tests been done? Was there any concussion or anything like that?"
"No, he can be discharged and go home after a few more hours of observation," He Chi said.
Gu Weiwei pursed her lips and looked Fu Hanzheng up and down several times to make sure there were no other injuries before she felt a little relieved.
She was so scared when she received the call that she almost lost her mind.
Seeing her nervous and worried expression, Fu Hanzheng spoke gently.
"Don't worry, it's just a minor injury."
Yuan Meng looked at Fu Shiqin, "Was there really a car accident?"
Fu Shiqin looked away guiltily, "That's right, the car overturned."
Yuan Shuo and Yuan Meng exchanged a glance, realizing that the injury was most likely fake.
Fu Shiqin thought for a moment and then said.
"Well, now that you're here, I'll go and take care of the claims."
He Chi packed his things and said.
"I'm going back to work. I'll be back in a few hours."
Yuan Meng and Yuan Shuo exchanged a glance and then spoke.
"Let's go get the medicine."
After saying that, she went out with He Chi.
As soon as she left the ward, Yuan Meng couldn't help but say to Fu Shiqin and He Chi.
"Is it appropriate for you to team up and swindle people like this?"
“Exactly, she was just about to call your brother when you guys staged this car accident.” Yuan Shuo was both amused and exasperated. He knew that Fu Hanzheng would definitely take action once he hadn’t received the call.
But I never expected him to be so shameless as to resort to this self-inflicted injury tactic.
"Are you really going to call my brother?" Fu Shiqin didn't believe it.
“I was just about to call when you called to say you were in a car accident,” Yuan Shuo said.
Fu Shiqin chuckled twice. "However, it's better this way. My sister-in-law will feel more sorry for my brother."
Yuan Meng suddenly felt a little sorry for Gu Weiwei and muttered to herself.
"You know, she's usually so clever, so why does she become so stupid around Fu Hanzheng, falling for his tricks time and time again?"
Upon hearing this, Fu Shiqin beamed with joy.
"Of course it's because of love."
After saying that, he told the two not to give themselves away in front of Gu Weiwei, and then he slipped away.
With them together, only Gu Weiwei and Fu Hanzheng remained in the large VIP ward.
Gu Weiwei asked, "Is there anything else that's bothering you?"
"No," Fu Hanzheng said gently.
Gu Weiwei lowered her eyes and pursed her lips. "I'm sorry. If it weren't for asking you to move out, this wouldn't have happened."
“Even if you don’t move out, you’ll still encounter things like this while driving. It’s not your fault,” Fu Hanzheng gently advised, afraid that his outburst would put her under pressure.
However, his words could not alleviate Gu Weiwei's self-blame.
"Actually... I was just about to call you when the Second Young Master called."
Fu Hanzheng paused in surprise, then extended his left hand and said.
"Come and sit down."
Gu Weiwei sat down on the double sofa where he was sitting, and when Fu Hanzheng reached out to hold her hand, she did not struggle as she had before.
Fu Hanzheng turned his head to look at her, his gaze gentle and affectionate.
"So, you're planning to call and tell me something?"
Gu Weiwei blinked. "It's just... it's just telling you that you can go back to live here."
"Anything else?" Fu Hanzheng asked.
"And... if I can't remember, please give me some time... to fall in love with you again."
