After buying the amulets, the two sat down on a stone bench in the temple to bask in the sun.
Gu Weiwei opened the two boxes, looked at the two kinds of amulets with great interest, and then turned to Fu Hanzheng and said.
"Excuse me, where should we hang these two?"
“One will be hung at the company, and one will be hung in the car,” Fu Hanzheng said.
Gu Weiwei picked out a colorful amulet, took out her phone, and then attached it to her phone case.
“I…don’t want to waste it.”
"Yes, we can't waste it." Fu Hanzheng chuckled.
His young wife has now learned to be a little proud and aloof.
Even though they've already accepted it, they still act like they're disgusted.
A gust of wind blew by, and Gu Weiwei reached out and caught a falling maple leaf, playing with it in her hand.
Fu Hanzheng turned his head to look at her, his eyes filled with deep tenderness.
Gu Weiwei glanced at him sideways, "Don't look at me like that, it's giving me goosebumps."
Fu Hanzheng chuckled and asked.
"I gave you an amulet, how are you going to thank me?"
Gu Weiwei blinked and placed the red maple leaf from her hand into his.
"A thank you gift."
Fu Hanzheng twirled the small maple leaf. "Isn't this thank-you gift a little too casual?"
"Otherwise, I'll return the amulet to you?" Gu Weiwei asked, raising an eyebrow.
Fu Hanzheng sighed, "Once it's been given away, there's no reason to take it back. Anyway, there's no one else to give it to."
Gu Weiwei gave a barely perceptible smile. "You give gifts and expect people to give you thanks? You have to be so polite."
Fu Hanzheng leaned closer, and Gu Weiwei quickly covered her face with her mask.
"Are you trying to say you'd give me a kiss as a thank you gift or something?" Gu Weiwei scoffed.
Fu Hanzheng laughed out loud, "You guessed it?"
“Yuan Meng said that this is a common tactic used by you men,” Gu Weiwei said.
"..."
Fu Hanzheng's lips twitched almost imperceptibly. Sure enough, she should have kept her away from that old driver, Yuan Meng.
The two of them sat on the stone bench under the tree for more than half an hour. Yuan Meng and Yuan Shuo also wandered over and saw the paper bag in Gu Weiwei's hand.
What did you buy?
“A protective charm,” Gu Weiwei said.
Yuan Meng smiled and said, "You're all so old, and you still believe these things that are meant to fool young girls."
"You're so old, who are you talking about?" Gu Weiwei retorted unhappily.
Upon hearing this, Yuan Meng sized her up.
"You just got a good deal, now you have the face of a young girl, have you really forgotten how old you are?"
“At least I’m young and still have a young age, so it’s not unreasonable for me to call you Auntie,” Gu Weiwei retorted.
Yuan Meng raised her eyebrows, "You call me auntie? You're a ghost, a little monster..."
The two of them started arguing back and forth, eventually revealing each other's shortcomings and getting into a huge fight.
Fu Hanzheng and Yuan Shuo exchanged a glance, looking at their women with a wry smile.
Finally, they each walked away with their wives in their arms.
Yuan Meng tossed her curly hair. "How dare you call me auntie?"
On the other side, Gu Weiwei adjusted her hat and snorted.
"How dare you call me a little monster! We're breaking up!"
Fu Hanzheng chuckled and reassured him.
"You're not a little monster, you're a little cutie."
Gu Weiwei glanced at him, and her mood improved slightly.
"But you, with my surname Gu and such a strange background, haven't you ever thought about breaking up?"
Most people would have some reservations if they knew where she came from.
Fu Hanzheng looked at her and said, "I like it too much, there's nothing I can do."
The word "breakup" doesn't exist in his dictionary.
