Chapter 19 A Beauty Beyond Compare 2

With a "thud," Fu Shiqin's phone fell to the ground, and he stared at the person speaking as if he had seen a ghost.

"Mu...Mu Weiwei?!"

How could Mu Weiwei, that eye-watering monster, possibly be so beautiful and cute?!

Gu Weiwei approached, picked up his phone, and handed it to him.

"I left in a hurry last time and didn't get a chance to hear you call me 'Dad'. You should make it up to me today."

Fu Shiqin pointed exaggeratedly to the study, "My brother... my brother called me..."

After saying that, he grabbed his phone and darted into the study.

Gu Weiwei turned and went to the kitchen to look at the porridge she had cooked. Fu Hanzheng had previously kicked her out of the Tianshui villa.

Now that he's back here, it seems he can't stay here anymore.

Fu Shiqin went into the study and recounted his major discovery with great amazement.

"Brother, did you recognize him?"

"That's Mu Weiwei, the one who dresses up like a demon or monster in our house and harasses you every day."

"She's so beautiful even without makeup. What was she thinking when she was torturing herself like that before?"

...

Fu Hanzheng couldn't stand his nagging anymore, "Where's the medicine?"

Fu Shiqin was filled with curiosity about his brother's thoughts, and continued to ask regardless of the others.

"Brother, seeing how beautiful the girl you kicked out of the house is, aren't you at all surprised? Aren't you at all regretful?"

Fu Hanzheng's expression remained cold and composed as he countered with a question.

"I'm asking you, where's the medicine?"

When Fu Shiqin heard that his tone was off, he immediately swallowed his words and went out to find Gu Weiwei, who was cooking in the kitchen.

"Um... do you have any cold medicine or stomach medicine here? It won't affect my brother if I drink alcohol. He's sick."

"No, they were all expired and I threw them away," Gu Weiwei said indifferently.

Fu Shiqin scratched his head. "Then go get my brother a glass of water. I'm going out to buy medicine."

After saying that, he left without waiting for her to agree or not.

Gu Weiwei glanced in the direction of the study, then reluctantly opened the refrigerator and took out scallions, ginger, and white radishes.

I chopped scallions, ginger slices, and radish slices, put them in a pot, added water, and brought it to a boil. After simmering for about twenty minutes, I ladled out a bowl of it, took it to the study, and knocked on the door.

Fu Hanzheng was leaning back in his chair with his eyes closed when he heard a knock on the door.

"Come in."

Gu Weiwei placed the boiled water on the table. "Drinking this will make your throat feel better."

Fu Hanzheng opened his eyes upon hearing the sound, stared blankly at the girl's clear and bright eyes for two seconds, and glanced at the steaming soup on the table.

"There's porridge cooked. Come out if you want some," Gu Weiwei said politely, considering that she was staying at his place.

Then, I went out and cooked two vegetarian dishes before we started eating.

Just as the food was placed on the table, the study door opened, and Fu Hanzheng came out and sat down at the dining table.

Gu Weiwei: "..."

She was just being polite, knowing he wouldn't eat her cooking, but he actually came to eat it.

She went back to the kitchen, served Fu Hanzheng a fresh bowl of porridge, and explained the situation after he sat down.

"This place is close to the school. Grandma Fu helped me move here. I... I'll go look for a place tomorrow, and I'll move out as soon as I find one."

After drinking that bowl of hot soup, which eased his discomfort, Fu Hanzheng felt a little better.

"I don't come here often, you can continue to stay."

"oh."

They both ate in silence, neither of them mentioning what happened that night.

After finishing his bowl of porridge, Fu Hanzheng asked, "What did you use to exchange for Mr. Ming's painting?"

He had proposed countless conditions for exchange, but Old Master Ming refused to part with any of them. In the end, he told them that she had exchanged something with him for it.

“My maternal grandfather left me a chess manual. Elder Ming has the first half, but he’s been looking for the second half,” Gu Weiwei said honestly.

Ming Zongyuan was a painting fanatic, but even more so a chess fanatic.

"What about the cake?"

Fu Hanzheng's deep black eyes sharpened slightly; the cake had elicited a strong reaction from the Wilsons.

"I found it online. Mrs. Wilson likes that kind of cake, so I made one and brought it with me."

Gu Weiwei lowered her head and stirred the porridge in her bowl, feeling a chill run down her spine from being stared at by those sharp, knife-like eyes.

Fu Hanzheng nodded, seemingly believing her explanation.

"What do you want by doing all this?"
