The group had dinner at the old house before taking the two children back to Villa No. 7 in Zhujiang Shengjing.
The first thing Gu Weiwei did when she got home was to bathe and change the clothes of her two children, because it was almost bedtime for them.
After putting her two children to sleep, she went back to the master bedroom, took a shower, changed into comfortable pajamas, and then slowly unpacked the suitcases she had brought back.
Fu Hanzheng was gone for half a month, leaving behind a pile of work. He had to continue working on the unfinished tasks with Fu Shiqin in the upstairs study.
He finished his work and returned to the master bedroom. It was already past midnight, and Gu Weiwei was already dozing off while waiting for him.
"Why aren't you asleep yet?" Fu Hanzheng asked with concern, seeing how exhausted she looked.
Gu Weiwei yawned, "Didn't you need to take a shower and change clothes?"
As she spoke, she got out of bed, put on her slippers, and got him the pajamas he needed to change into.
Fu Hanzheng went into the bathroom and let her help him take off his clothes before taking a shower.
However, this time it didn't take too long, and I quickly finished washing up and called her.
Gu Weiwei helped him change his clothes. "This afternoon your mother asked us when we were going to have the wedding. Haven't we ever had a wedding before?"
"There was a slight mishap last time, and the wedding was canceled halfway through," Fu Hanzheng said gently.
Gu Weiwei buttoned up his pajamas and looked up to ask.
"What happened?"
"This... it's hard to explain in a few words. It's too late today, let's rest first and I'll tell you when I have time," Fu Hanzheng said gently.
Gu Weiwei yawned repeatedly and had no desire to ask any more questions. She went back to the master bedroom and went to bed to rest.
Fu Hanzheng kissed her hair and closed his eyes to rest.
The next morning, He Chi came over to freeload a meal and pretended to talk to Fu Hanzheng at the table.
"Your hand injury has been there for so many days, go to the hospital for a check-up today."
Fu Hanzheng nodded, "I'll go this afternoon when I'm free."
Gu Weiwei thought for a moment, "I'll go too."
"No need, I can go by myself. The two children are still at home," Fu Hanzheng said.
Gu Weiwei was worried about his injury. "The hospital isn't far from here. I'll accompany you to your follow-up appointment and then come back."
The two children need to take a nap in the afternoon, and there's a nanny there, so going out for an hour won't be a big deal.
Fu Hanzheng and He Chi exchanged glances, indicating that after the follow-up examination, they should announce in front of Gu Weiwei that the injury had healed.
He Chi nodded knowingly, deciding to give his acting skills a good try later.
After the two children had breakfast, the nanny took them to play on the mats in the living room. Gu Weiwei was drinking porridge when she heard the children suddenly start crying in the living room.
She got up to go over, but there was still some soup and water that the two children had spilled on the ground while they were having breakfast. She accidentally stepped on it and slipped, almost falling to the ground.
Fortunately, Fu Hanzheng was close by and quickly reached out to support her, preventing her from falling.
Gu Weiwei stood still, eager to see her child, but after taking a few steps, she remembered something and turned to look at Fu Hanzheng, who seemed completely unconcerned.
"Your hand..."
Fu Hanzheng was surprised to realize that when he helped her up, he had used his right hand because of the urgency of the situation.
So he quickly covered his arm.
"It's okay, let's go see the child first."
Gu Weiwei rushed to the living room and picked up Tian Tian, who was crawling around and had fallen headfirst into a toy, crying in pain.
While comforting the child, I carried her back to the restaurant.
"How's your hand? Isn't it still injured and you can't move it or put any force on it?"
He Chi covered his forehead; with this sudden turn of events, there was truly nothing he could do to save him.
