While Fu Hanzheng was still trying his best to coax people, He Chi hid in the corner of the corridor and called Fu Shiqin.
"Oh no, oh no, your sister-in-law has found out."
"What did you find?" Fu Shiqin was completely bewildered.
"Your sister-in-law accompanied your brother to his follow-up appointment, and I accidentally let it slip that she found out your brother was faking his injury," He Chi said, leaning against the wall and looking towards his office.
Upon hearing this, Fu Shiqin gasped.
"So you're still alive."
"Help! I feel like your brother is going to kill me!" He Chi said, feeling wronged.
Fu Shiqin listened with an air of helplessness.
"I can't save you either, unless you beg your sister-in-law."
The only person in this world who can control his brother is his sister-in-law.
He Chi clung to the wall, on the verge of tears.
"If I had known it would turn out like this, I shouldn't have gotten involved in this mess."
"That sounds nice, but do you think you have a choice?" Fu Shiqin snorted, hung up the phone, and continued working.
However, if his sister-in-law finds out that her brother was faking his injury, won't she get angry and break up with him?
In He Chi's office, Fu Hanzheng abandoned his cold and domineering image from the company and used all sorts of coquettish and cute tactics. Gu Weiwei remained heartless and left him alone at the hospital before going home by herself.
He Chi saw Gu Weiwei enter the elevator and jogged after her.
"Sister-in-law, Fu Hanzheng will definitely not let me go. You have to save me."
"You're all birds of a feather, what's the point of saving you?" Gu Weiwei glanced at him sideways. He had said that she was injured, and he had made it sound so serious, even telling her to take good care of her.
Now that things have been exposed, he's afraid Fu Hanzheng will cause him trouble, so he's asking him for help.
"Sister-in-law, I was really coerced by them. Only you can save me," He Chi said pitifully, almost kneeling down and hugging their legs.
If Fu Hanzheng wants to take revenge on him, the only person who can protect him is indeed his wife.
Gu Weiwei showed no sympathy for this accomplice and went straight to her car as soon as the elevator doors opened.
He Chi followed her to the parking lot and clung to the car door.
"Sister-in-law, you can't just stand by and watch someone die. Fu Hanzheng is a very cruel person."
Gu Weiwei turned her head to look at the person leaning against the car door, "I can't save you."
“He listens to you the most, sister-in-law. Don’t be angry with him, and he won’t cause me any trouble,” He Chi said.
If she gets angry with Fu Hanzheng, there's a good chance he'll take it out on her.
Gu Weiwei stared at the person who refused to let go, "Will you let go or not? If you don't let go, I won't let you go either."
Upon hearing this, He Chi quickly let go.
He's already offended one person; if he offends another, he might not see the sun rise tomorrow.
Gu Weiwei closed the car door and drove away from the hospital back to Villa No. 7, Zhujiang Shengjing.
He Chi returned to his office dejectedly, peeked through the door, and saw that Fu Hanzheng was still there, so he prepared to close the door and slip away.
"Come back!" Fu Hanzheng called out in a deep voice.
He Chi shrank back and opened the door to return to his office.
"I just... took my sister-in-law there."
Fu Hanzheng's face was cold and stern. "Tear it down."
She told him to keep wearing it, but he couldn't really keep it on obediently. Anyway, once it was removed, he didn't believe she would make him put the cast back on.
He Chi asked the nurse to bring tools to remove the stone medicine from his hand.
Fu Hanzheng washed his hands at the sink, answered a phone call, and then prepared to go to the company.
Seeing that he didn't say anything, He Chi secretly breathed a sigh of relief, glad that he had escaped a disaster.
However, as Fu Hanzheng was leaving, he stopped, turned around, and said something.
"Didn't you say the food in the hospital cafeteria was bad? Starting today, the maid will bring you food from home, as a way of... thanking you."
"Is that... not necessary?"
He Chi knew perfectly well that what he had kindly sent must not be anything good.
Sure enough, at lunch he received rare dishes such as wasabi salad, stir-fried bitter melon, dry-fried silkworm pupae, and deep-fried scorpions.
