Fu Hanzheng paused for a moment, then his lips curled up almost imperceptibly before he closed the file and said something.
Meeting adjourned.
The company executives attending the meeting breathed a sigh of relief and glanced gratefully at Gu Weiwei, who had rescued them from their predicament.
Fu Hanzheng got up and walked out, asking her as they returned to his office.
"Why did you suddenly think of the company?"
“You didn’t eat much for breakfast, and I was worried you might skip lunch in a fit of anger, so I came over to have a meal with you,” Gu Weiwei said with a smile.
Fu Hanzheng opened the door, stepped aside to let her go in first, and then followed her in.
"You came out alone?"
He truly didn't expect her to suddenly come to the company to have lunch with him.
Moreover, he hadn't even realized what was happening while he was in that state.
"I came out with Yuanmeng, we shopped at the mall for a while, and then came to find you." Gu Weiwei checked the time and asked, "If you're busy, you can order food here. If you're not busy, we can go out to eat."
Fu Hanzheng considered for a moment, "There is a self-service employee cafeteria downstairs in the company building."
There's a meeting at 2:30, so going out to eat definitely won't be enough time.
"Then let's eat there," Gu Weiwei said.
Fu Hanzheng nodded and led her out of the office, taking the elevator downstairs together.
"Since you came to me on your own initiative, does that mean my punishment period is over?"
"What punishment period?" Gu Weiwei pretended to be clueless.
Fu Hanzheng pinched the tip of her nose. "These past few days, you've teamed up with those guys to hurt me. Isn't this punishment?"
"You lied to me first, and you even tricked me into taking such good care of you every day. You got off easy by isolating you for the past few days," Gu Weiwei said, glancing at him with a self-righteous air.
“Now that the punishment period is over, I want to do something,” Fu Hanzheng said, looking down at her.
"What?" Gu Weiwei looked up at him.
Fu Hanzheng lowered his head and leaned close to her face as he spoke.
"Kiss you."
After saying that, he kissed her regardless of whether she agreed or not.
Fortunately, the two took a private elevator, which took them directly to the floor where the restaurant was located without any disturbance.
Fu Hanzheng kissed her passionately, but Gu Weiwei heard the elevator door open and pushed him away.
Outside, there were company employees eating in the staff canteen, but because Gu Weiwei pushed him in time, no one saw anything.
Fu Hanzheng led her out of the elevator, but as soon as they entered the restaurant, the restaurant staff were all stunned.
The once noisy staff canteen suddenly became quiet.
The two of them each took a plate, and the people in front of them who were queuing for food immediately made way for them.
"Mr. Fu, please go first."
Gu Weiwei smiled and said, "No need, you guys go first."
As he spoke, he and Fu Hanzheng lined up at the back of the crowd.
The people in front of them quickly and orderly finished getting their meals, making room for them.
Gu Weiwei held the plate, and whenever she saw something she wanted to eat, she would say so, and Fu Hanzheng would put it on her plate.
The two picked up their food and found a seat by the window.
"Wait for me to get off work this afternoon, then we can go back together?"
Gu Weiwei nodded, "Okay."
"I have a business dinner tonight, let's go together," Fu Hanzheng said.
"It's a social obligation," Gu Weiwei said somewhat reluctantly.
“Shi Qin isn’t here, so I have to show up. It won’t take long,” Fu Hanzheng said.
It was originally supposed to be Fu Shiqin who went, but he left without notice, so the responsibility fell on Fu Shiqin's shoulders.
