Ling Jiao was initially worried that her physical discomfort would affect the filming schedule.
Fortunately, Fu Shiqin bought her medicine last night, and she didn't have a fever again today.
Moreover, thanks to the red dates, goji berries, ginger, and brown sugar water he carefully prepared, his menstrual cramps were not as severe as usual.
So, I gritted my teeth and persevered through the day of filming.
However, once he finished work in the middle of the night, he was so exhausted that he just collapsed in the car and didn't want to move.
"What do you want to eat when we get back?" Fu Shiqin asked as he drove.
"I don't want to eat anymore," Ling Jiao replied lazily.
Fu Shiqin glanced at her; his expression was much better than when he came out in the afternoon.
How long have you had this problem?
"Why are you asking so many questions about women's affairs?" Ling Jiao frowned, clearly unwilling to discuss these personal matters with him.
Fu Shiqin spoke frankly, "I wanted to ask if I could take you to see a doctor when we return to the capital. My sister-in-law had the same thing before, but she's recovered now."
Ling Jiao yawned lazily, "You've been overly concerned lately."
"Really? They're just small favors," Fu Shiqin said nonchalantly.
The two returned to the hotel. Ling Jiao went back to wash her face and then lay on the bed, not wanting to move.
Fu Shiqin escorted the person back to their room, then went out again, returning more than half an hour later in a pushcart.
"Get up, eat something warm before you go back to sleep."
"I'm not eating," Ling Jiao replied, not wanting to get up at all.
Fu Shiqin placed the food on the table and said.
"Your favorite wontons."
Ling Jiao paused for a moment, then struggled to her feet.
"You did this?"
"Of course I made it." Fu Shiqin sat down, tasted a sip of the soup, and nodded in satisfaction.
Ling Jiao smacked her lips with the spoon and spoke to the person opposite her.
“Fu Shiqin, you don’t need to do so much for me. Besides… if you’re with the girl you like in the future, she’ll be unhappy if she finds out.”
No woman wants to know that her boyfriend once took such good care of another woman.
"No, she's not that petty." Fu Shiqin smiled deeply.
Ling Jiao remained silent for a while, then lowered her head and ate quietly. The familiar, gentle, and delicious taste still made her nostalgic and moved her to tears.
Fu Shiqin glanced at her and said, "What's wrong? Don't tell me you want to cry again after eating these wontons."
Ling Jiao wiped her slightly moist eyes and smiled as she spoke.
"It was as if my grandfather had returned to me."
Fu Shiqin choked on a mouthful of wonton, and after recovering, he said.
"You treat me like your grandfather?"
Ling Jiao chuckled, then nodded and said.
"Pretty much. My grandfather was just as meticulous when he was alive. He also made these kinds of wontons for me."
Fu Shiqin put down his spoon and said with a frustrated look.
"Please stop comparing yourself to your grandfather."
“What’s wrong? My grandfather is the most important person to me,” Ling Jiao said.
Upon hearing this, Fu Shiqin grinned and asked.
"And what about me? Am I also the most important person to you?"
"Not really, we're just business partners, at most good friends," Ling Jiao said.
"Good friends?" Fu Shiqin was not satisfied with this answer. How could there be pure friendship between a man and a woman?
Moreover, he did all this not just to be good friends with her; he wanted to be her real boyfriend and her future husband.
However, this road seems to have no end.
