Chapter 2013 Rightfully My Wife

Gu Weiwei turned her head to look at the face so close to hers when she heard the sound. Then she turned her head and saw the two little ones who were almost asleep on the bed. As soon as they saw their father come back, they got up and stood up, clinging to the railing.

"I was about to go to sleep, and look at you!"

Fu Hanzheng smiled helplessly, "Then I'll coax him, you rest over there."

"Sure." Gu Weiwei gave her the children's picture book and moved aside for him.

Fu Hanzheng carefully flipped through the children's picture books, his brows furrowing more and more; they were all stories about little frogs, little pandas, and little rabbits.

He has given many speeches on business strategy, but he has never challenged himself with something so naive.

He glanced at Gu Weiwei. "Can we exchange it for another one?"

Gu Weiwei handed him another book of nursery rhymes, "Why don't you sing some for them?"

"Then let's go with this one." Fu Hanzheng cleared his throat, turned to a page, and slowly began to read.

At first, Youyou and Tiantian clung to the railing of the crib, listening curiously. When they got tired of standing, they switched to sitting and listening. Finally, when they got tired of sitting, they simply lay down on their own.

Gu Weiwei rested her chin on her hand, smiling as she looked at the man intently reading a children's storybook and the two little buns on the crib, feeling an unprecedented sense of peace and contentment.

Fu Hanzheng read a picture book to his children on and off four or five times, and he actually managed to lull the two little buns in their cribs to sleep.

He closed the book with a sigh of relief, got up and covered the two children with their blankets, then turned to look at Gu Weiwei sitting beside him.

"The kids are asleep now, so I can put you to sleep, honey."

Gu Weiwei glared at him amusedly, then got up and added the master bedroom.

"Who's your wife? Who needs you to put them to sleep?"

Fu Hanzheng showed off the little red book he had kept, "Look, it's perfectly legitimate, you're my wife."

As he spoke, he lowered his head to kiss him.

Gu Weiwei reached out and covered his mouth, "You reek of alcohol, what are you kissing me for?"

Fu Hanzheng sighed regretfully and obediently went to the bathroom to wash up. A short while later, he came out wearing a bath towel.

Gu Weiwei grabbed a pair of pajamas and tossed them to him, saying, "Put your clothes on."

"Anyway, we'll have to take it off soon, so what's the point of wearing it?" Fu Hanzheng said meaningfully while drying his hair.

"Don't even think about it, I'm on my period," Gu Weiwei said directly.

Fu Hanzheng turned to look at her blankly, and after thinking about it for a moment, he realized that it was indeed true these past few days.

He sighed regretfully. Such an important day, and it just so happened to be so unlucky.

Then, she obediently put on her pajamas.

"I'll go with you to Hechi's hospital this week for another check-up."

Gu Weiwei asked as she removed her daytime makeup.

"What kind of examination? Are they going to examine my brain again?"

“Let’s do a more comprehensive checkup,” Fu Hanzheng said.

Because we need to ask Gu Yunche to come along so we can see her test results and see if he has any solutions.

“I’m available anytime, but can you find the time yourself?” Gu Weiwei said.

"Just one or two hours at noon is enough," Fu Hanzheng said.

Although she now feels that it doesn't matter whether she can remember these past few years or not, He Chi and the person in charge of the experiment previously said that the experiment might succeed, or it might turn malignant after it succeeds, so the final result is uncertain.

Therefore, whether it's to help her get better or for long-term health planning, regular checkups are still necessary to monitor changes in her cerebral cortex and hippocampus.
