Chapter 2017 Shameless

Gu Weiwei choked on her porridge, feeling that she would never be able to drink Madam Fu's soup again.

It was the same when we lived in the old house. We would make all sorts of different kinds of soup for her every day, but I didn't know what kind of tonic we were giving her.

Now, they're even having someone make a kidney-tonifying soup for Fu Hanzheng.

Did she really think that living together with Fu Hanzheng was so shameless, unrestrained, and that he needed to be nourished by her?

Besides, given his condition... does he really need any more treatment?

She glanced at Fu Hanzheng, signaling him not to drink.

Fu Hanzheng chuckled, "The way you're looking at me, do you want me to drink, or do you not want me to drink?"

"Drink up, you really do need to replenish yourself." Gu Weiwei said with a forced smile.

However, Fu Hanzheng put down his spoon and glanced at the maid before speaking.

"That's it. Don't do any more of this messy stuff anymore."

Making him drink is tantamount to making him admit that he's too old to perform sexually.

Moreover, he doesn't need to fix all this mess at all.

"No, please." Yuan Meng reached out and took it, then placed it in front of Yuan Shuo. "You drink it."

Yuan Shuo slowly raised an eyebrow. "What do you mean?"

Yuan Meng blinked ambiguously, "Don't waste it, and... you've been working pretty hard lately."

Gu Weiwei choked again, "Could you please not discuss such inappropriate topics in front of the two children?"

She thought Yuan Shuo wouldn't drink it, but he actually drank it without batting an eye.

Fu Hanzheng calmly changed the subject, asking if it would be convenient for Kaman Dorrance to meet with the Fu family tomorrow.

Just as the group finalized the time, Fu Shiyi returned, dragging two large suitcases. As soon as he entered, he asked the servants to bring bowls and chopsticks and sit down at the table to eat together.

"Didn't you say you were going to live with Ding Dongdong? Why did you come back?"

"She's going abroad to participate in a Formula One competition. I'm taking two days off, and I have a schedule to follow the day after tomorrow," Fu Shiyi explained while wolfing down his food.

If he didn't have work, he would have accompanied Ding Dongdong to the competition.

“Perfect timing, there’s a family dinner tomorrow,” Gu Weiwei said.

Fu Shiyi nodded. It must be a family dinner between his family and Kaman Dorrance. However, he quickly finished a bowl of porridge and said.

"Sister-in-law, have you been watching the news these past few days?"

"What news?" Gu Weiwei asked in surprise.

As a film actress, she realized she wasn't dedicated enough, often going ten days or half a month without paying attention to entertainment news.

Fu Shiyi wiped his mouth. "Ke Lisi's new movie has already surpassed 10 billion in box office revenue and is about to break your box office record."

"Oh," Gu Weiwei replied indifferently.

"Oh?" Fu Shiyi found it hard to believe that this was her only reaction. "Do you know that the whole internet is praising Ke Lisi's acting skills? You're about to become the old wave that's been swept away by the tide."

"Isn't it normal for there to be competition?" Gu Weiwei said calmly.

"Your fans would be heartbroken to hear you say that," Fu Shiyi complained.

Since her films broke the 10 billion yuan box office mark, she has been almost hailed as a god by netizens in the film industry.

Now, with Corliss standing shoulder to shoulder with her and with increased publicity, her influence is even greater than that of her sister-in-law back then.

Because of the previous press releases claiming she outshone him, and the awards she received at the Tokyo Film Festival, Corliss now harbors deep resentment towards her sister-in-law.

Now that she's ready to take advantage of her box office success, he's furious for her, especially since she's reacted so calmly.

Although everyone online is saying that Chris is going to surpass his sister-in-law, there is still a big gap between the two. Chris is just an actress, while his sister-in-law was both an actress and a director at the time.

If it weren't for the involvement of a well-known Hollywood director and screenwriter, allowing Kristen Stewart to direct and star in the film herself, who knows what kind of terrible movie would have come out.

"So?" Gu Weiwei could clearly tell that he had something else to say.

Fu Shiyi smiled brightly, "So, I asked Qiao Lin to help you and our brother get a show."
