Fu Hanzheng sighed dejectedly and said in a low voice.
"With so many people in your family, is it the same as a date with just the two of you?"
"Isn't it the same?" Gu Weiwei raised an eyebrow, as if she wasn't sleeping in the same bed as her.
Fu Hanzheng: "..."
Seeing his disappointed expression, Gu Weiwei smiled and said...
"We'll definitely go on a date when Grandma comes back from the hospital."
Fu Hanzheng then smiled with satisfaction. "Come downstairs, dinner is almost ready."
"Wait a minute." Gu Weiwei called out to him, smiling mysteriously, "I have a gift for you."
Fu Hanzheng sat down with great interest and smiled expectantly.
"What?"
Gu Weiwei pulled a sketchbook out of the drawer and handed it over with a smile.
Fu Hanzheng took it. The cover of the sketchbook had the words "Me and My Husband" written in cute and playful handwriting.
He turned to the first page, which showed a girl standing on tiptoe under a wisteria trellis kissing a man's cheek.
The second page shows a man holding a birthday cake.
The third page shows a man draping his suit jacket over a girl wearing a long dress.
The fourth page shows a man proposing to a girl.
...
Page after page records every little detail of their relationship since they met. Turning to the back, there are pictures of her in a wedding dress holding his hand, and then pictures of the two of them walking hand in hand on the beach during her pregnancy.
Then, two more adorable little buns appeared in the picture.
"When was this drawn?" Fu Hanzheng asked, his eyes brimming with surprise.
“It’s been a long time. I found it at home recently and added a few more pages,” Gu Weiwei said.
She herself doesn't know exactly when she started drawing.
I was thinking about doing storyboarding for a movie recently, and I was looking for a usable sketchbook at home when I found this one.
Some of the pages, besides the drawings, also had words written on them. Sometimes it was Fu Hanzheng's words, and sometimes it was the date the drawing was made.
It might be something Fu Hanzheng said, or a record of the date the painting was done.
The smile on Fu Hanzheng's face deepened, indicating that she must have secretly drawn this behind his back; he had no idea she had hidden such a book.
An entire sketchbook, every page filled with memories of them.
"You really gave it to me?"
"It's really for you," Gu Weiwei said with a smile.
After Fu Hanzheng finished reading, Fu Shiqin came over and knocked on the door to remind them that it was time for dinner.
Fu Hanzheng responded, ran to open the safe hidden in the study, put the picture album inside, and locked it.
Gu Weiwei sighed, "Who would come to our house to steal something, especially a sketchbook like this?"
"Just in case." Fu Hanzheng locked the safe before taking her hand and leading her downstairs for dinner.
The disappointment I felt earlier because of not having a date had long since vanished because of that picture book.
Gu Weiwei's eyebrows and eyes were filled with a sweet smile; this man never hid his love for her.
They will always cherish the gifts they receive, even if they are simple and ordinary.
I can always detect her emotional changes immediately and always prevent anything from upsetting her.
The two came down hand in hand, and Fu Shiqin put down his chopsticks.
"Can you stop being so lovey-dovey at home?"
He has never officially held hands or hugged Ling Jiao, yet they flaunt their affection in front of him every day. It's so irritating.
"Go and be all lovey-dovey with your girlfriend," Gu Weiwei scoffed.
Upon hearing this, Fu Shiqin spoke up.
"Ling Jiao will be back after filming in half a month, so I need to ask for leave."
After filming wraps up, Ling Jiao will take a short break, and he needs to use this time to showcase his personal charm.
