While Fu Hanzheng was eagerly anticipating making up for the last activity of their date the night before, Gu Weiwei caught a cold and developed a headache from stargazing in the mountains the previous night.
After the two children took their afternoon nap, I also took some medicine and went to sleep.
He slept until dark. When Fu Hanzheng came home from get off work and didn't see her, he asked his wife.
Where is Vivi?
"She said she had a headache, took some medicine, and went to sleep," Madam Fu said truthfully.
Upon hearing the word "headache," Fu Hanzheng's nerves tightened, and he hurriedly returned to the master bedroom.
The person on the bed was still asleep, looking slightly weak. He reached out and touched him, but there was no sign of fever.
But hearing what Mrs. Fu said, I was worried that her headache was a side effect of the experiment.
So, they woke the sleeping person up.
"Weiwei?"
Gu Weiwei was called several times before she lazily lifted her eyelids.
What time is it?
"Six-thirty," Fu Hanzheng said, then asked, "Mother said you have a headache, what's wrong?"
It was perfectly fine when I left this morning, wasn't it?
Gu Weiwei rubbed her forehead, her voice muffled due to a stuffy nose.
"I probably caught a slight cold from the wind on the mountain last night."
I don't know what happened, but my physical condition is really weak now.
Fu Hanzheng breathed a sigh of relief, but then blamed himself for being careless. He knew that his son had been particularly sensitive to cold since the birth of Youyou and Tiantian, yet he still let him go to the mountains in the suburbs for several hours in the middle of the night in winter.
Gu Weiwei sat up and tidied her messy hair.
"Where are Youyou and Tiantian?"
"I'm in the living room with my grandparents." Fu Hanzheng looked at her listless appearance and asked with concern, "Are you feeling any better? Should we go to the hospital?"
"It's just a cold, I'm much better than this afternoon," Gu Weiwei said, leaning over and burying her head in his shoulder. "If you hug me, I might get better even faster."
Fu Hanzheng chuckled and put his arm around the person.
"Now look what you've done, picking such weird and wonderful places for your dates now."
Upon hearing this, Gu Weiwei rejected his embrace and huffed.
"So, in the end, you're still upset that I took you to see the stars on our date last night, instead of taking you home to have sex with you?"
"At least with the latter, you wouldn't have caught a cold like you do now," Fu Hanzheng chuckled.
Gu Weiwei reached out and slapped him. "You still dare to talk back?"
Fu Hanzheng chuckled and stood up.
"I'll get you a glass of water."
"Never mind, I'll get up. It's time for dinner anyway," Gu Weiwei said, lifting the covers and getting out of bed.
Fu Hanzheng got her a coat and put it on her, then accompanied her to wash her face and comb her hair.
The two returned to the living room, and Mrs. Fu asked first.
"Are you feeling better?"
"Much better." Gu Weiwei smiled.
As they were talking, Youyou crawled to her feet and called for her mother.
Gu Weiwei bent down, picked up her son, and sat him down on the sofa. Fu Hanzheng had already poured water and handed it to him.
Seeing that her expression was still not good, Madam Fu began to scold Fu Hanzheng.
"Knowing that Weiwei has given birth and her body shouldn't be exposed to cold, she still doesn't know how to take care of her."
Fu Hanzheng didn't refute a word, and Gu Weiwei took a sip of water and explained.
"Mom, it's my own fault for asking him to go up the mountain with me at night, it's not his fault."
In fact, Fu Hanzheng had already taken good care of her, and almost took off his coat to give it to her.
Grandma Fu chuckled, "Look at you, you're already defending your own after just a few words."
