After Ling Jiao left, Yang Shasha also came to the hospital to visit her, bringing fruit and flowers.
Fu Shiqin was holding his phone, reporting the situation to Gu Weiwei, who was far away in the capital. He glanced at Yang Shasha and then spoke.
"You don't need to come. If Jiaojiao runs into you, she'll realize you're the one who needs to tip me off."
Moreover, if there's any misunderstanding, things could get complicated.
"I thought Sister Ling Jiao wouldn't come, so I came to check on her." Yang Shasha put her things away and asked with concern, "Second Young Master, are you alright?"
"It's alright. Has Jiaojiao been particularly worried about me these past two days, or said anything about me?" Fu Shiqin asked curiously.
Yang Shasha thought for a moment and then shook her head.
"Didn't see her, still busy filming as usual, but..."
"But what?" Fu Shiqin's nerves tightened.
Yang Shasha carefully observed his expression and whispered.
"However, it seems she contacted Senior Lin Mo yesterday."
Fu Shiqin's joy vanished instantly. "Are you sure?"
"It seems that Senior Lin Mo has asked Sister Ling Jiao to have dinner sometime when she's free, and he's also filming recently," Yang Shasha said.
Fu Shiqin lay listlessly on the bed. She seemed worried and anxious about his condition, but then she turned around and started getting intimate with Lin Mo.
Whenever he felt there was even a glimmer of hope between them, she would always extinguish that hope.
"Second Young Master, don't be too discouraged. Sister Ling Jiao still came to see you, didn't she?" Yang Shasha comforted him.
However, Fu Shiqin was not comforted at all.
She probably came because she had no other choice. After all, Fu Shiyi just left like that, and she couldn't contact his family to take him away, so she had no choice but to come and see him one last time.
He had thought she came because she was genuinely worried about him, but it turned out to be just wishful thinking on his part.
"Second Young Master, it's getting late. Is there anything else you need? I'll buy it for you and bring it over tomorrow." Seeing that he was in a bad mood, Yang Shasha didn't want to linger any longer.
Fu Shiqin waved his hand irritably, "No need, you can go."
"Then I'll head back now." Yang Shasha left.
Fu Shiqin tossed and turned on his bed for a while, feeling depressed, before glancing at the flowers and fruit on the table.
Then, she got out of bed and threw the flowers in the trash can, and gave the fruit to the nurses at the nurses' station to enjoy.
He has a stomach problem and can't eat these sour or cold fruits right now. If he stays here, Ling Jiao will know that someone else came to visit him when she comes tomorrow, and he won't be able to explain it to her.
Back in the ward, I received a call from Gu Weiwei.
"So, any progress with Ling Jiao?"
"You said she came to the hospital to check on me while she was contacting other men. What is she trying to do?" Fu Shiqin said, distressed.
Gu Weiwei asked, "Who did she contact?"
“Lin Mo, that guy with the surname Lin,” Fu Shiqin said angrily.
“They’re from the same circle, and they’re even alumni from the same school, so it’s normal for them to keep in touch. You’re overthinking it.” Gu Weiwei wasn’t as nervous as him and said gently, “I even turned off my phone to cooperate with your charade.”
She even used Mrs. Fu's phone to make this call.
"I know, sister-in-law, you're the best." After saying that, Fu Shiqin added, "Also, whatever you do, don't let my brother urge me to go back to work. Let me settle my marriage first."
