Before she could finish speaking, Fu Shiqin immediately pulled over and stopped the car. His usually gentle voice was now cold and intimidating.
"Why didn't you tell me sooner that something like this happened?"
“Ling Jiao doesn’t want you to know.” The agent thought for a moment and explained, “She is a person with a very strong sense of self-respect, and she doesn’t want you to see her unpleasant side.”
Fu Shiqin sighed deeply. He certainly understood this point; she was never one to reveal her vulnerable side to others.
It seems I've long been accustomed to swallowing all the bitterness alone and then facing the world with a smile.
“Yang Shasha and her brother live here, so we don’t plan to let her stay here anymore. My assistant and I are still packing her things, preparing to move her to a safer place.” The agent looked around Ling Jiao’s apartment and murmured, “Ling Jiao bought this apartment to bring her grandfather to live with her, but unfortunately the old man passed away before he could even move in for a day.”
Fu Shiqin felt increasingly distressed as he listened. Perhaps it was because she had endured too much indifference and disdain that she hid her heart in such a hard shell, making it difficult for others to approach her.
"Has the housing been arranged?"
"Not yet. Tomorrow is Chinese New Year, and it's hard to find a place right now. Staying in a hotel would attract the attention of paparazzi," the agent said with difficulty.
She had already thought it through. If they really couldn't find a place to stay, she would take the person to stay at her home temporarily, and then find a new place for her to live after the New Year.
"I'll arrange the house. I'll send you the address in a bit. Just move your things over there and tell her it's the place you found," Fu Shiqin instructed.
The agent breathed a sigh of relief upon hearing this.
“Okay, then Ling Jiao…”
“I roughly know where she went. I’ll contact you again once I find her. She told you not to tell her about this, so just pretend you never told me,” Fu Shiqin said.
Her pride and self-respect wouldn't allow her to expose her vulnerable side to others, so since she didn't want him to know, he simply pretended not to know.
"What about the Yang family..." the agent asked tentatively.
Fu Shiqin put on his headphones and spoke as he drove to find the person.
"I'll handle this. You two have worked hard too. Just move her things over and go home for the New Year. I'll take care of her these next few days."
"Okay, let me know when you find her." The agent's anxious and flustered heart finally calmed down.
Many things are tricky for them to solve, but for the Fu family, it's just a matter of giving instructions in a sentence or two.
The assistant packed some everyday items and inquired.
"I've packed up all my clothes and belongings. We can't move the rest of the stuff today."
"That's enough. We can talk about the rest after the New Year," the agent said.
After all, who knows how long they'll stay in this new place? What if it's just temporary accommodation, and they'll have to move again later?
"Where should we move her?" the assistant asked while searching the house for anything she had forgotten to pack.
"The second young master said he'll make the arrangements." The agent had just finished speaking when a message came in on his phone: "I got the address. Let's go over once we're ready."
As for Ling Jiao, as long as she is still in the capital, it won't be difficult for Fu Shiqin to find her.
Fu Shiqin arranged accommodations for Ling Jiao and then drove directly to the 3D holographic projection hall he had previously given her.
Sure enough, when we arrived at the parking lot, we saw her car parked there.
