Before they knew it, Gu Weiwei and Ling Jiao had been chatting together for almost an hour.
Fu Hanzheng didn't go over to disturb them, and he and Fu Shiqin dutifully watched over the two playful little buns in the courtyard.
However, his eyes kept glancing in their direction.
Fu Shiqin also stole glances from time to time, frowning and muttering to himself.
"Do women really have that much to talk about?"
Fu Hanzheng looked at the two women talking animatedly from afar and asked Fu Shiqin a question.
Is my girlfriend normal?
"What do you mean 'normal'?" Fu Shiqin asked in astonishment.
"Regarding sexual orientation," Fu Hanzheng asked.
Fu Shiqin pointed at his own brother, almost jumping up and down in anger.
"It's normal, perfectly normal. It's one thing for you to see men who get close to your sister-in-law as rivals, but now you're even targeting women."
Ling Jiao and her sister-in-law get along well because they are in the same industry and are about to collaborate on a movie, so they talk a lot when they meet. Her brother actually thought of it in such a distorted way.
If I don't explain it to him clearly, he'll probably suspect that Ling Jiao cheated on him during the filming of his sister-in-law's movie.
Fu Hanzheng felt a little relieved. It was good that things were normal. In today's society, you not only have to be wary of people of the same sex, but also people of the opposite sex, after all, his wife was so beautiful and cute.
Gu Weiwei also noticed that Fu Hanzheng kept glancing in their direction, so she stopped chatting with Ling Jiao.
"Let's talk more about it then, when we have the official photoshoot in a few days."
Even from this distance, she could smell the strong scent of vinegar, not only from Fu Hanzheng but also from Fu Shiqin.
She walked back and took Fu Hanzheng's arm.
"Honey, your jealousy skills have gotten better lately."
“I’ve been back for three hours, and you’ve only said twenty sentences to me. She’s been here for an hour, and you two talked for fifty-one minutes,” Fu Hanzheng stated his observations.
Gu Weiwei smiled and surrendered, "Yes, yes, I shouldn't have neglected you, President Fu."
Every few days or so, she had to be certain that he was number one in her heart, and that her son and daughter could not be ranked before him.
They chatted outside for a while, then Fu Shengying came out to call them home.
It was almost time for dinner, but Fu Shiyi still hadn't returned.
"What's wrong with Fu Laosan? He's not even eating."
"He's not coming back today; he's gone to celebrate the holiday with Dongdong," Madam Fu said, directing the servants to serve the dishes.
As Fu Shiqin took his seat, he began to speak.
"With Fu Shiyi having so many female fans with explosive fighting power, and all those ex-girlfriends from before, how much courage would Ding Dongdong have to muster to be with him?"
"That sounds nice, but you're not all that great yourself." This was a complaint from Mrs. Fu's own mother.
“What’s wrong with me? I’m obedient, capable at work, and considerate and gentle. Most importantly, I don’t have that many messy exes. What good qualities does Fu Laosan have besides his good looks?” Fu Shiqin retorted with dissatisfaction.
"Hey, let me tell you, having a pretty face is a natural advantage, but unfortunately, Fu Xiaoer, you don't have one." Before he even arrived, his voice preceded his words as Fu Shiyi darted into the restaurant and sat down.
"Didn't you go to spend the holiday with your ex-girlfriend? Why are you back?" Fu Shiqin asked deliberately, trying to get to the heart of the matter.
Fu Shiyi glared at him. "Her parents are back, and she's not living with me anymore."
"Why come back at this time? Isn't it a good opportunity to see your father-in-law and mother-in-law?" Fu Shiqin asked.
Fu Shiyi glanced at him sideways, "I'd like to, but I'm afraid her dad will beat me to death."
Anyway, from Ding Dongdong's occasional remarks, it was clear that his future father-in-law was dissatisfied with him, and very dissatisfied at that.
