A week later, the press conference for the start of filming of "Butterfly in the Sea" was held in Beijing.
The day after the press conference, the crew members set off for the film studio to prepare for the official filming.
The next day, Gu Weiwei accompanied her two children to an early childhood education class, and only started packing her luggage after returning home.
Since I was only going to be a director, I packed only comfortable and casual clothes and shoes, along with some daily medications and skincare products, and that was basically it.
When Fu Hanzheng came home from get off work, her suitcase was already packed.
What time are you leaving tomorrow?
"I have an early morning flight, a simple opening ceremony at noon, and two scenes to shoot in the afternoon," Gu Weiwei said truthfully.
Fu Hanzheng said this while loosening his tie and changing his clothes.
"I had Qiao Lin cancel your plane ticket. I'll take you there tomorrow," Fu Hanzheng said.
Gu Weiwei was stunned for a moment. "No need, right? If you take me there, Fu Xiaoer will make a fuss about taking Ling Jiao there too. If you keep doing this, the company will collapse sooner or later."
“He lost, I’ll go,” Fu Hanzheng said.
Fu Shiqin did make such a request, but he also had to take her there, so only one of them could go.
So, they made a bet at the company. Fu Shiqin lost, but he won, so naturally, he was the one who went there.
Gu Weiwei thought for a moment, "Then I'll inform Qianqian and Lingjiao later, and we'll leave together tomorrow."
"You're bringing other people along too?" Fu Hanzheng frowned.
"We agreed to leave together tomorrow morning. I'm not going with them. It's too obvious that they're prioritizing romance over friendship," Gu Weiwei said.
He hadn't originally planned to take her there, so he booked a ticket to travel with them.
She couldn't bring herself to tell them that she wouldn't be leaving with them tomorrow, but instead would be going with Fu Hanzheng.
"If you want to bring it, then bring it." Fu Hanzheng didn't object too much.
Gu Weiwei checked all her belongings one by one, closed the suitcase, clapped her hands, and said.
"Everything that needed to be tidied up has been tidied up."
Fu Hanzheng changed into some loungewear, glanced at her suitcase, and wasn't in a very good mood.
Gu Weiwei washed her hands, and then Madam Fu came to call them to start their meal.
At the dinner table, Mrs. Fu spoke.
“A few days ago I pickled some of the kimchi and pickles you used to like, as well as some cookies and green rice dumplings, so you can take them with you.”
"No need for that trouble, Han Zheng has arranged for servants over there," Gu Weiwei said with a smile.
She really went to work, not on a spring outing or vacation.
"Take these with you. If you can't finish them, share some with the crew," Madam Fu said.
Gu Weiwei nodded. "Thank you, Mom."
"We will take good care of Youyou and Tiantian. We'll bring them to visit the set in a while," Madam Fu said with a smile.
Fu Shiqin was still fuming because he lost the bet and couldn't see Ling Jiao off.
"Mom, do you really think my sister-in-law is going there for a vacation, bringing her whole family with her?"
“I’ll call you when filming isn’t so hectic, and then you can bring Youyou and Tiantian over,” Gu Weiwei said.
"No matter how busy you are with work, you should prioritize your health. Don't rush the filming and exhaust yourself. If the actors' schedules are disrupted, we can just pay them more. It's not a big deal..." Grandma Fu added her own advice.
Gu Weiwei nodded, "I understand, Grandma."
She was just going to film a movie, but they all made such a fuss, which made her nervous too.
