Chapter 2439 Not buying it

Qiao Lin nodded knowingly. There are many people in the industry who would resort to underhanded tactics to steal resources in order to prevent someone from becoming famous in the same company.

However, it takes quite a bit of courage to set your sights on them.

In fact, Lu Hao and Xue Fan have the same style, so even though they've been in the industry for two years, they haven't had any particularly good resources.

He originally came to audition for a supporting role as Butterfly in "The Vast Sea," but the director had a keen eye and decided to cast him as the male lead after he auditioned for two scenes.

Xue Fan caused this car accident because he had connections in the company's upper echelons. He thought that since Lu Hao couldn't participate, and they were similar types of actors, the company pushed him to fill in, and the role would be his for sure.

Unfortunately, they weren't buying it.

"What if he tries anything else?"

"When soldiers come, we'll block them; when water comes, we'll dam it. Do what you need to do," Gu Weiwei said with a cold smile.

"Understood." Qiao Lin smiled and said, "Then I'll be going now, I still have work to arrange for them."

Gu Weiwei waved her hand and saw him off.

Ling Jiao finished packing her luggage and was memorizing her lines from the script.

The original plan was not to film these scenes in the first two days of filming, but because the male lead could not join the crew in time to make adjustments, we could only film her scenes first.

And so, she has to re-prepare the lines for these scenes.

Gu Weiwei didn't disturb her. She went back to her room to pack her luggage and asked the maid to pack the other suitcase containing food as well.

Luo Qianqian followed her in and helped her organize her clothes into the wardrobe.

"I see the film crew is quite busy. I hope I won't be a burden by coming here."

"If that's your mindset, then help us finish the background music and the opening and ending themes," Gu Weiwei said casually.

Luo Qianqian chuckled, "You said I came here to relax, didn't you?"

Gu Weiwei packed her luggage and went out to find Ling Jiao still working on the script in her room. She opened a bottle of red wine, poured two glasses, and then went to the balcony with Luo Qianqian to chat.

"You boarded the plane today because you were actually reluctant to leave, right?"

Luo Qianqian swirled her wine glass and smiled in surprise.

"Your husband is right there, and you still have the mind to pay attention to me?"

Gu Weiwei took a sip of wine and said with a smile.

"I happened to glance back."

Luo Qianqian took a small sip, pursed her lips, and said.

“I have family and friends in Beijing and a job that I love, but I’m the only person he keeps in touch with in Beijing. When I was boarding the plane, I suddenly thought, what will he do if I just leave like this?”

But thinking back on it, he was doing just fine all those years without her.

"Come here, didn't he ask anything?" Gu Weiwei asked.

Judging from the way Gu Yunche waited for her near her studio that day, he actually knew what she was thinking.

Luo Qianqian shook her head, "I told him I was going on a business trip, and he took me to the airport."

Gu Weiwei put her arm around her shoulder and patted her gently. "I don't want to advise you on anything. Once you've thought it through and are willing to talk to him face to face, then go back."

Fu Hanzheng is right. Their relationship issues are ultimately a matter between the two of them. Even if they are friends, she shouldn't interfere too much or influence their own thoughts.

Luo Qianqian sighed, resting her chin on her hand, "If only it were that easy to figure it out."

It's been over a week since she found that photo, and she's thought about it countless times every day, but she still doesn't know how to ask him about it.
