Chapter 2480 Your thoughts are so corrupt

Upon hearing this, Fu Shiqin chuckled slyly.

"Sister-in-law, I never knew you had such outdated ideas."

Gu Weiwei chuckled and replied.

"You're the one who started the suspicion. You see everyone as gay through the lens of BL, and you're even more BL than I am."

At first, she thought it was just a friendly connection between the two, but He Chi's behavior made her somewhat worried.

“Oh, we were just saying that. I asked He Chi, and he said it was just because the boy was well-behaved and kind.” Fu Shiqin relayed He Chi’s meaning.

Gu Weiwei gritted her teeth, "So well-behaved and innocent, you've even managed to infiltrate someone's fan club?"

"Uh...maybe he infiltrated to flirt with girls, there are a lot of girls in the fandom." Fu Shiqin offered a forced explanation.

He Chi is indeed a bit too concerned about Lu Hao, but what if he's just a fan or trying to make friends?

"That's not called flirting with girls, that's called being a pervert," Gu Weiwei scoffed.

A man approaching thirty, obsessed with celebrities, joined a fan club and mingled with girls in their teens and twenties. She couldn't bear to look at him.

The two chatted casually while Ling Jiao cooked dumplings in the kitchen.

Gu Weiwei went over and took a look, then said with a smile.

"You two have worked hard wrapping so many."

"Fu Shiqin made all the arrangements; I didn't really help much," Ling Jiao said with a smile.

Qiao Lin came over and asked with amusement, "So what did you do?"

"She was cheering me on from the sidelines, but it didn't work," Fu Shiqin snorted.

Qiao Lin's lips twitched slightly. "Okay, very good."

The three brothers in the Fu family each have their own unique ways of spoiling their wives.

Ling Jiao blushed with embarrassment. She wanted to help, but Fu Shiqin wouldn't let her lift a finger, saying he was tired from work and just told her to sit and watch.

So, she sat at the bar near the kitchen the whole time, watching him wash vegetables, chop filling, knead dough, roll out wrappers, and make dumplings.

The only effort she put in was probably just chatting with people.

Fu Shiqin went into the kitchen and took over the task of cooking dumplings, serving them out bowl by bowl as they were cooked.

Ling Jiao offered to help carry it, but he asked Qiao Lin for help instead.

"Don't carry it, you'll burn yourself."

“Yes, we deserved to get burned,” Qiao Lin snorted.

Ling Jiao gave a dry laugh and had no choice but to go and get the chopsticks and vinegar.

Although the group complained about Fu Shiqin, they still sat down at the table in a lively atmosphere and ate the dumplings that Fu Shiqin had made himself.

"Second Young Master, I think your talent is being wasted working a regular job. You should become a chef."

“Right? I think so too. I’ll retire in a few more years, then open a restaurant and be a chef. I can open whenever I want, and cook whatever I want.” Fu Shiqin ate dumplings, reminiscing about his retirement life.

Gu Weiwei smiled meaningfully. His wish to retire was probably unlikely to come true, because someone else thought the same thing.

After the group ate dumplings, Fu Shiqin began packing his things to go back to work in the capital.

Since there wasn't much luggage, packing wasn't difficult. He only packed the clothes he brought and the things Lu Hao asked him to give to He Chi.

"I'll take you to the airport," Ling Jiao said.

Fu Shiqin thought about it and still refused.

"No need, you've already taken me there. It's not safe for a girl to come back alone. Get some rest."

After saying that, he turned to Qiao Lin and said.

"You take me."

“It’s not safe for me to come back alone,” Qiao Lin said.
