After finishing her call with Fu Shengying, she called Fu Hanzheng again.
Fu Hanzheng answered the call and asked with a light laugh.
"How did the talk go?"
"Of course I didn't agree, but Dad hasn't given up yet." Gu Weiwei smiled helplessly.
The four elders in the family spoil the two children to the point of being unruly.
When she was raising her three sons, she let them grow up freely, but she's been incredibly meticulous in raising her grandson.
She spoils her grandson so much, without even considering how her three sons feel.
“If you don’t agree, they can’t do anything about it,” Fu Hanzheng said.
Whether he agrees or not is unimportant; as long as she doesn't agree, they won't do anything reckless.
"Other things can be compromised, but this is absolutely not allowed." Fu Hanzheng said firmly, determined not to compromise on the issue of his child's education.
She understands that the elders spoil the younger ones, but they can't spoil them too much, or they'll become unruly and impossible to correct later.
Fu Hanzheng smiled faintly, "Didn't you say you wanted to hear a bedtime story? Do you want to hear one more?"
"I'll listen, but I need to take a shower first," Gu Weiwei said.
Fu Hanzheng's voice was slightly hoarse, "Mrs. Fu, don't provoke me."
Gu Weiwei chuckled. She was just saying she was going to take a shower; was that considered flirting?
He himself was impure-minded, yet he blamed her.
She put down her phone. "You play by yourself for a while, I'll be back in a bit."
Fu Hanzheng heard footsteps walking away and the sound of a door closing, which meant someone had probably gone to take a shower.
However, even though there was no sound on the other end of the phone, he couldn't help but think about all the romantic things that had happened in the bathroom in the past.
Gu Weiwei took a shower, dried her hair, and put on a face mask before answering the phone.
Are you still there?
"Yes," Fu Hanzheng replied.
"Mr. Fu, you can tell your wife a story now," Gu Weiwei said sweetly as she lay down on the bed with her phone in hand.
Fu Hanzheng flipped through a book and read it to her word by word, his voice low and gentle.
Gu Weiwei listened for a while and then smiled.
"Mr. Fu, your voice sounds so pleasant today."
Sexy and alluring, it's so beautiful it'll make your ears pregnant.
Fu Hanzheng closed the book and chuckled softly.
"Mrs. Fu, your husband also wants to hear a bedtime story."
Gu Weiwei chuckled, "You're so childish!"
"I want to hear it." Fu Hanzheng waited patiently.
Gu Weiwei lay on the bed and said playfully.
"Once upon a time, there was a little boy named Fu..."
“I’m not a child,” Fu Hanzheng said with a smile, correcting her wording.
"I didn't say it was you." Gu Weiwei found it more and more amusing. They were parents, yet they were more childish than two children.
The two argued for a while over the word "kid," until finally Fu Hanzheng gave up.
"It's getting late, you should rest."
Although I was reluctant to hang up the phone, I didn't want to disturb her rest.
"What about you? Do you still have a job?" Gu Weiwei asked.
"There's one more thing, but it will be finished soon and I can rest," Fu Hanzheng said truthfully.
Gu Weiwei sighed after hearing this, "You have work to do, why are you rambling on like this?"
“Talking to you on the phone is more enjoyable than working,” Fu Hanzheng said with a light laugh.
It would be unwise to hang up the phone and prevent her from contacting me just to handle this task.
"I'll rest now. You should rest early after you finish your work too." Gu Weiwei couldn't bear to take up any more of her time and gently said goodnight.
Fu Hanzheng waited until she hung up the phone before putting down his own phone.
Time seems to be passing so slowly; there are still so many days until my visit to the set.
