Fu Shiqin finally managed to drag He Chi out of the passenger seat and quickly wiped the seat down again.
"This is where Jiaojiao sits. Don't you have any self-awareness about where you should sit?"
He Chi stood to one side with his arms crossed, looking smug.
"If you don't want me to sit there, just say so. How am I supposed to know if you don't tell me?"
He knew, of course, that this was the special spot Fu Xiaoer had reserved for Ling Jiao, but considering how often he had sabotaged him, he was just retaliating in a small way.
Fu Shiqin wiped the passenger seat, then turned and pointed at He Chi, who was gloating.
"I'm breaking off all ties with you! I'm cutting all ties with you!"
"Okay, how long are you going to break off relations this time?" He Chi asked with a smile.
He and Fu Shiyi had played this kind of "breaking off friendship" act far too many times.
"We're severing ties forever," Fu Shiqin said angrily.
He Chi shrugged, looking indifferent.
"Fine, let's break up then. Don't slap me in the face later."
Every time they say they'll cut ties and never see each other again, they always end up contradicting themselves.
"If I ever pay any attention to you again, I'll change my surname from Fu," Fu Shiqin declared confidently.
He Chi glanced at him sideways, "If that's the case, given your past history of slapping people in the face, you wouldn't be surnamed Fu anymore."
He always says the same thing, and every time he goes back on his word and gets rich.
The two of them were arguing fiercely outside the apartment, while Gu Weiwei, Ling Jiao, and the others were inside, intently discussing their filming plans for the next few days.
After discussing and finalizing the filming plan, Gu Weiwei handed over the crew for the most important scenes to them.
"These scenes are very important. If you have any questions, you can ask them now."
Lu Hao silently read the lines several times. "Actually... I feel like I might have missed something in my performance of this scene."
Gu Weiwei raised an eyebrow. "What do you mean?"
"I can't quite put my finger on it, but I feel like there's something I haven't fully grasped yet," Lu Hao frankly expressed his inner thoughts.
Although their filming had been quite relaxed, he had come to know that the director was someone who had extremely high standards for every scene during their time working together.
He himself hadn't fully grasped the essence of the scene, so his performance was bound to fail to satisfy her.
Gu Weiwei thought for a moment, then looked at Ling Jiao and said.
"How about... you two rehearse together, and I'll take a look?"
Ling Jiao nodded in agreement, memorized the lines a few times, and then she and Lu Hao performed them on the spot.
Gu Weiwei looked at it with a serious expression, and said after reading it.
“Lu Hao, perhaps... you misunderstood the character’s true purpose in this scene, so your performance went astray.”
"The real purpose?" Lu Hao was stunned, unable to figure it out for a moment.
Gu Weiwei smiled gently, "This role is indeed a bit complicated, but you've already portrayed it very well in the previous scenes. You'll understand it after a little more thought."
"Director, just tell me directly," Lu Hao asked anxiously.
Gu Weiwei didn't say it directly, but Di gave her a few subtle hints.
"Only when you truly understand a character can you portray them more movingly."
Lu Hao was still completely bewildered. Even though she had clearly figured out where his problem lay, she just wouldn't point it out, which was making him a little anxious.
Ling Jiao reached out and patted his shoulder, comforting him.
"Kid, acting isn't something anyone can tell you the standard answer to. You need to understand the character yourself, give him your own unique vitality, and then present it in front of the camera."
They were having a pleasant conversation when Fu Shiqin, spoiling the mood, knocked on the door to urge them to hurry up.
"Sister-in-law, it's been three hours, you two should be done talking by now."
Ling Jiao sighed, wondering how she could have found such an immature boyfriend.
