So, Luo's father visited Gu Yunche's new home once again.
When I got off the bus, I saw Gu Yunche carrying a box of things. When I entered the house, I found that it was a box of plates, bowls and chopsticks.
"Newly bought?"
"Qianqian didn't like the original one, so I put it away," Gu Yunche said, taking out the items one by one to prepare for washing.
Mr. Luo nodded thoughtfully, and then mentioned it to his daughter, hoping she could offer some advice.
Unexpectedly, he listened to his daughter so quickly and bought new ones, and even put away all the old antique plates and bowls.
For some reason, the more he looked at this person, the more pleasing he found him to the eye.
Gu Yunche made tea for Luo's father, then went to the kitchen to wash the dishes and tidy up.
Mr. Luo sipped his tea, carefully examining each precious item in the room, touching it again and again with great affection.
One of them quietly washed the dishes, while the other quietly toured the house; neither disturbed the other.
Mr. Luo was worried that after the man arrived, he would take the opportunity to get close to him and talk about his daughter, but to his surprise, the man didn't mention it at all.
That's good, so neither of them will feel awkward.
However, he was completely unaware that even if the other person didn't say anything, he would start to look at Gu Yunche in a different light.
Gu Yunche washed the dishes and said to Luo's father.
"Uncle, I still have some work to do in my study. Please make yourself at home."
"Alright, alright, go ahead." Luo's father couldn't have been happier.
Gu Yunche went upstairs to his study, but instead of working, he spent the time grinding ink and practicing calligraphy.
Because he didn't have a job at all, but it was obvious that both he and Luo's father felt awkward talking downstairs.
Luo's father inadvertently spent another day at his house.
This discovery included not only the antique paintings and calligraphy we saw yesterday, but also other works of calligraphy and painting...
When Zou Fang finished her work and returned home after dark, she found that the person who had gone out to walk the dog at noon had not returned all day.
That's when I called him back.
Luo's father led her home, and as soon as they entered the house, he heard his wife excitedly say...
"Let me tell you, Qianqian's Aunt Chen's son, the young man is not only handsome and refined, but also very polite, and his career is booming..."
Mr. Luo frowned, not quite approving of her practice of secretly arranging blind dates for her daughter.
"Your daughter has already said she doesn't want to see you, so why are you still making a fuss? Are you really going to cause a rift between mother and daughter?"
“I’m telling you the truth, I’ll show you that guy’s picture. He’s definitely Qianqian’s type.” Zou Fang said, quickly taking out her phone, flipping through the photos, and handing them to her husband.
Mr. Luo glanced at it and said, "None of them are as good-looking as Xiao Gu, the one Qianqian is dating now. How could she possibly like him?"
Upon hearing this, Zou Fang's face immediately fell.
"You're siding with outsiders again. You're never home all day. Did you go to that Gu family's house again?"
This person moving to live near their house must have ill intentions.
Now they've not only kidnapped her daughter, but they're going to kidnap her husband too?
"I... happened to run into it, so I went to take a look." Mr. Luo never hid anything from his wife, so he told her the truth.
"A coincidence?" Zou Fang glanced at him and said, "You happened to run into him yesterday, and you happened to run into him again today. How can it be such a coincidence?"
“He lives nearby, what a coincidence,” Mr. Luo said.
It wasn't a coincidence, of course; he deliberately walked his dog on that road and pretended to bump into her.
The purpose was to go back and see those treasures again.
