After all that commotion last night, I only got a few hours of sleep before dawn broke again.
When Gu Weiwei woke up, the two children were already up and sitting next to her, but they didn't wake her up.
Fu Hanzheng had already changed his clothes and said this when he saw that she was awake.
"These two won't get out of bed unless you wake up."
Gu Weiwei sat up and gave each of the two children a good morning kiss on the cheek.
"It's getting late, we need to change our clothes and have breakfast."
She changed the two children's clothes before changing out of her own pajamas and brushing her teeth and washing her face with them.
Then, he took one of them by the hand and led them out of the master bedroom.
As Fu Hanzheng watched the loving backs of the mother and her two children, he felt a pang of sorrow once again.
As soon as they reached the breakfast table, Mrs. Fu asked.
"The sheets in the laundry room belong to your room. Who wet the bed last night?"
Before Gu Weiwei and Fu Hanzheng could speak, Tian Tian pointed her little finger at Fu Hanzheng.
"dad!"
The people at the table burst into laughter, but they already knew in their hearts that she was trying to cover up her true intentions.
Fu Shengying smiled and handed her the spoiled fruit, "Okay, okay, Daddy peed on it. Our Tiantian didn't wet the bed."
The little girl nodded emphatically, indicating that her grandfather was right.
Gu Weiwei glanced at Fu Hanzheng, whose face was dark, and didn't know how to comfort him.
Before she could say anything, Fu Shengying started complaining.
"Who are you giving me that sour face so early in the morning? What if you scare the two kids?"
Fu Shiyi looked at his own brother with great sympathy. In the end, his brother had also fallen to the same point as them, both of them being adopted.
Fu Hanzheng did not argue. After finishing his meal and checking the time, he took care of going to work.
Gu Weiwei saw her to the door, and the two children, fearing that her father would kidnap her, followed her all the way outside.
Are you angry?
"How can I be angry with them?" Fu Hanzheng glanced at the two unruly children clinging to her legs.
What can I do even if I'm angry? They're my own flesh and blood, after all.
Gu Weiwei tilted her head back and kissed him on the lips. "They'll get used to it."
"You rest well at home. I'll get off work early this afternoon." Fu Hanzheng reached out and hugged her before getting into the car.
Gu Weiwei, holding the two children's hands, watched his car drive away before returning to the house.
The two little ones were like two little tails, following her wherever she went, never letting her out of their sight for a moment.
Gu Weiwei felt both heartache and guilt. She accompanied them to their early childhood education class and then took a nap with them.
Tian Tian brought out all the cookies and chocolates she had saved up for a long time and gave them to him, which made Mrs. Fu and the others both laugh and cry.
"This girl, she actually managed to hide some." The mashed potatoes I gave her earlier had gotten moldy from hiding them in her room.
"It's still a filial act." Fu Shengying was gratified that her granddaughter knew how to be filial to her mother at such a young age.
Gu Weiwei enjoyed the chocolate her daughter had left for her, and hugged and kissed her repeatedly.
"Sweetie, thank you for saving the chocolate for Mommy."
In this family, she was the first person to get to eat from this little foodie.
"Tian Tian, can you give Grandpa one?" Fu Shengying teased the little girl who was possessive of her food.
Tian Tian hugged her chocolate box tightly and shook her head repeatedly to refuse.
"For my mom."
No one except the mother can eat it.
Fu Shengying chuckled. This box of chocolates was clearly bought for her by him, yet in the end, he wouldn't give even a single bite to his grandfather.
